IT FEATURES EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO PRODUCE QUALITY MIXES.3 OPTIONS ON THE CROSS FADER CURVE WHICH IS GREAT FOR SCRATCHING.AND THE SAMPLING AND RECORDING FEATURES ARE SIMPLE TO USE TO.

Price paid

£650

UTILIZATION

THIS IS AN EASY MIXER TO MASTER,YOU DONT REALLY NEED TO READ UP ON HOW TO USE ALL THE FEATURES AND SAMPLES,SIMPLY PLUG AND PLAY!THE SPLIT CUE IS EXCELLENT,IT ACTUALLY SPLITS LEFT AND RIGHT INPUT AS IT SHOULD DO IN EACH EAR OF THE HEADPHONES,NOT LIKE THE DJM300 WHERE IT MIXES BOTH INPUTS IN BOTH EARS.THE ONLY DOWNSIDE TO THIS MIXER IS WHERE THEY HAVE PUT THE HEADPHONE SOCKET,IT DOES GET IN THE WAY SOMETIMES AND IS PRONE TO YOU KNOCKING IT,IN MY OPPINION IT SHOUD HAVE BEEN MOUNTED ON THE VERY FRONT AND NOT COMING OUT THE TOP OF THE MIXER,WHERE ALL THE NOBS ARE.

THIS FEELS AND LOOKS LIKE A QUALITY MIXER.SO FAR IVE HAD NO TROUBLES AND IVE NOT HEARD OF ANY TROUBLES YET ON THIS MODEL.MOST OF THE CLUBS IVE PLAYED IN HAVE THIS MIXER,SO THAT ALONE SPEAKS FOR ITSELF.

SOUNDS

SOUND QUALITY IS GOOD,I FIND THE EQ VERY SENSATIVE,THE SMALLEST TWEAK ON ANY OF THE HIGHS MIDS OR LOWS MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE.

OVERALL OPINION

I LOVE THIS MIXER BECAUSE OF HOW IT LOOKS AND THE WOW FACTOR WHEN A FRIEND USES IT.UNLESS YOU HAVE A TOP OF THE RANGE ALLEN AND HEATH I DONT THINK YOU CAN BEAT THIS,ESPECIALLY IF YOU MIX HOUSE AND TRANCE.

The features are amazing, I don't think they could have included much more. However, Being able to have more than one sample would have been nice, or being able to assign your sample to a channel and then be able to adjust the EQ on it......

Price paid

$850 usd

UTILIZATION

The interface is very easy to use and quick to pick up. The manual explains most things however, this is not for a begainner

The DJM600 is amazingly robust, I have used it manytimes and have not had any problems.

SOUNDS

The sound is quite decent, however, a broaded EQ would have been nice.

OVERALL OPINION

Overall I love this machine. I would reccommend it to any Serious DJ.... It is also good for use in Clubs or at Gigs.......

A mainstay in the DJ realm

By IanLightsOut, 12/12/2010
The mixer is not rackable without modifications. The main inputs are RCA, and outputs are RCA and XLR. It has analog connections and 4 channels, each with 2 inputs for phono and line. The eq is not parametric and simply has separate knobs for bass, mid, and treble. There is an integrated effects section, but it does not support automation. Synchronization is not supported on this model.

UTILIZATION

Functions are very easily accessible, and great fun to use once the user is accustomed to the unit. Install is very easy, and connection is straightforward. The manual is clear and does not leave out any important information about running the mixer.

SOUNDS

The sound quality is perfect without generating hiss or distortion. The sound of the mixer and effects are great, although sound a little dated now that we are in 2010. EQ's are great and still function very well after all these years.

OVERALL OPINION

The thing I like most about this mixer is the reliability, layout and use, and standardization. In clubs, this mixer or an updated version of this mixer is pretty much all you will see, so as a DJ, it makes it easier to play in strange places when you are familiar with the equipment. The mixer can be purchased for a relatively small amount of money as new models and updates have since been released. The sound is precise and perfect, with the only wear and tear on the mixer in my experience being the faders wearing out after many years of normal use (or a few years of rough use). Faders are inexpensive to replace and hardly a detractor as a purchase point. Before I had this mixer, I owned Numark mixers, which were good for starters, but as I became more experienced I wanted more options as well as a more professional feel. Moving up to this mixer was ideal because it did not involve a large financial investment, but the benefits were a large step up from the previously used Numark Models.
