61-Key MIDI Keyboard from M-Audio belonging to the Axiom series

M-Audio exhibits at NAMM 2013 the final version of the Axiom AIR controllers with a brand new look.

Introduced at last Summer NAMM in an all-black, the M-Audio Axiom AIR Series includes three 25, 49 and 61 key controllers. The models showed at Winter NAMM 2013 received a new white and brushed metal design, with illuminated knob and pad controls, angled backlit display, longer-throw faders, and clearance under the body providing a path for cabling.

The controllers ship with the Air Ignite and Avid Pro-Tools Express softwares, along with an iLok USB key ($49.99 retail value).

Axiom Air 25 :

  • 25 synth-action keys with aftertouch
  • 16 trigger pads respond to pressure and velocity
  • Roll button aids in creating drum parts
  • 8 rotary encoder knobs plus 1 long-throw 70mm fader
  • 3 banks of pad and knob assignments with color-coded illumination
  • HyperControl automatically maps controllers to popular software
  • Drum Pad Learn feature and Identify button
  • Dedicated transport and navigation buttons
  • Octave/Transpose buttons
  • Assignable pitch bend and modulation wheels
  • Selectable velocity curves to match any playing style

An Axiom Air Mini 32 keyboard completes the series, with the same look as the model showed last summer (see here). It ships with Ignite and Ableton Live Lite.
