Ibanez AW15ECE

The Ibanez AW15ECE was made in America. It's a rosewood guitar with a spruce top, a mahogany neck and an ebony fretboard. It has 20 frets, and features the awesome Taylor Expression Pickup system. It has a regular ebony bridge. There are three knobs, for volume, bass, and treble. 


UTILIZATION

The high frets are pretty easy to reach; I have no problem skipping from lower frets and hitting the notes with ease. The guitar sounds great right off the bat, but even if plugged in it's got enough control that you can get a good sound within a minute or two. The guitar isn't too big or awkward, and it's not so heavy that you can't carry it. Everything is stable, the guitar stays in tune really well unless you manage to move the knobs. 


SOUNDS

I use this mostly through a PA, but when I do amp it, my Crate sounds the best. I really like some of the brighter sounds that are possible one this guitar. With the volume, bass, and treble control, there's a whole lot of room to experiment with tone. I tend to go for the one that makes it sounds most like it does acoustically. It can sound good with some natural gain on it, which I like doing. It gets a very rock-oriented sound out of it that way, and acoustic blues tends to sound great with it when it's amped. It suits everything I play, which goes from Jazz to Blues and predominantly rock.


OVERALL OPINION

I can't think of much that I don't like about this guitar! I love the way it sounds acoustically, the Taylor Expression System is the best acoustic-electric pickup operation that I've ever heard. The sound is great when it goes direct or when amplified. I tried several other acoustics, mostly other Taylors and Martins, and I chose this one over all of them. I still stand by that decision. It's really expensive, so try and get one used or clearance, like I did. It has a pretty big scratch in it, but I really don't care at all about that, it's all about the sound. For that, it's totally worth the price. Highly recommended.

Simply. Dreadnough electro acoustic guitar. Massive cedar. Mahogany body. Micro aeq ... Manufacture China.

UTILIZATION

The handle is not ugly and rather pleasant. but the surprises is its four pieces that compose it. The head the handle and the heel into two pieces. I am not a luthier, but does that to an incident on the sound. Its consistency? Very disappointing ...

SOUNDS

The ropes were new. too of course. In time she would have given a little more. I have a delicate game not really developed yet but I'm the type to find a good definition in the sound. clean and "blunder". I remain skeptical. But from the beginning I had a doubt. But again. the most disappointing is manufactured. this was the one and I've had bad luck ...?

OVERALL OPINION

I returned to the store after three days of use. I was disappointed in its manufacture. I noticed that the handle was made of 4 pieces. If it is not bad, it is not extraordinary. That seems too aw15ce although this is not a luxury. This is not a very low end. Compared to a cort whose price is lower, I find it so excessive for its price. 350euros. paid 295. This is too. It is not enough to put the name Ibanez and make it pretty. Too bad ...

UTILIZATION

The handle is nice, access is not an acute problem. without amplification, the guitar provides great sound quality

SOUNDS

As the first electric guitar, it was a revelation! purchased in Germany, I use it with u amp fame (copy of "Acoustasonic" Marshall), 60 w and paid 200 euros, manufacturing Czech oblige!
After a moment's hesitation and a lot of testing (although I am a beginner) the ibanez (320 euros) appeared to me far superior to much more expensive guitars (Takamine EG, yamaha ,...). The opinion was shared by many customers who were in cologne that day.

OVERALL OPINION

For a month, this guitar will not leave me. a value to me perfect. an incredible preamp, a pleasant sound it is connected to an amp or not. I insisted that a takamine to 600 euros. For the price, I have a great Ibanez amp and a Czech who holds the road. So happy that I allowed myself to buy the boss loop station ... I may be a beginner and pros will find much fault with what I said. I persist and sign ... let yourself be tempted by a p'tit test .....
