Lakewood guitars are made in Germany in the workshops of the luthier Martin Seeliger. The M 32 PC, with cutaway, 14 frets non-cash, has a solid European spruce top AAA, rosewood back and sides Indian solid handle, a piece of Honduras mahogany, ebony fingerboard, bone nut, mechanical Schaller gold, amplification system in Shadow Sonic System, developed in collaboration with Martin Seeliger. Good system with a power of its dual (magnetic pickup in the neck at the collar and a second under saddle. Preamp invisible in the rosette, glued inside the guitar (no hole in the éclissse apart for the output jack!) with settings very effective (blend between the 2 pickups, 1 tone very effective, and volume)

The varnish may surprise a few. Lakewood keep it fairly thin layer, without blocking the wood surface, the splint and the back does not look like a mirror, the texture is very visible.

Let us not forget also Hiscox deluxe case (not heavy) with logo Lakewood, which is very robust - they can climb over which is reassuring to know when traveling by plane (to avoid this: to see absolutely on youtube 'United breaks guitars "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YGc4zOqozo)

UTILIZATION

Handle very nice (width 46 mm), the guitar is fairly small and light. Access to acute effortlessly. The sound is crystalline without hardness, very even all over the neck, no "dead spots". We must never forget that spruce changes with age, he needs some time to find his "final", it gains in warmth and depth. The game gets very specific about this guitar, it plays what he intends to play.

SOUNDS

In recent years I played almost as fingerstyle guitar on my acoustic and this guitar is made for that. As we often read and confirm for this guitar: excellent separation of notes, harmonic rich. Ideal for picking and style Celtic (see Pierre Bensusan to appoint an excellent French guitarist must!)
Like I said earlier, I think the guitar will mature and it will sound best in a year or more, I do not know, but as it stands already, the sound is very beautiful!

OVERALL OPINION

I received it 10 days ago, I can not count the hours I played it, I discover and love her more. This is an excellent guitar at any point of view (aesthetics, sound, finish, material quality). Monitoring customer is very nice and very close to the customer.
