«  Yamaha c7 is a magnificent instrument. »

Published on 12/08/12 at 01:14
Yamaha c7 1970 that I bought in September to a sound engineer I was pleasantly surprised the first time I tried it. Indeed, in my relentless pursuit of a grand piano high quality less than 10,000 euros, I tried everything from old steinway "restore" (broken table, string change, a mechanical rebuild), the yamaha g1 2002 with its glitz and sad and black furniture. But searching leboncoin I found this yamaha c7 1970 from japan with mahogany furniture damaged but still a nice regarder.Il was completely restored, mechanics redone from scratch, to the plane String nine, to a new frame gilding. Dark so I called the guy. I came to try it. The guy asked me to try it. I do not know e happened when my finger touched the first note, but it is certain that this piano has bewitched me. A typical sound "yamaha" with singing bass, treble and powerful and melodious sound of extreme power, coupled with a maturing this year due to his playing the piano. The only weak point of this piano is just finishing his "past". But it makes it more "melancholy".
The feature that I like in this piano is its adaptability. It has often been said that the c7 was made for jazz and classical to c6. But the instrument that I bought an extremely flexible, making it an instrument that may well sound like with bach with chopin debussy through, poulenc, all composers Ravel and jazzy. Its mechanics, for it is an uncanny accuracy: a little heavier than more recent series, a bit lighter than steinway D, it fits a very powerful and virtuoso playing a game and lyric pleasure. C7 is the rare occasion. But I knew to wait my turn and I bought an instrument made matchless value, because for € 7500, I had an instrument amenities of a steinway b price of yamaha GH1.
If it were to do again, I would do the same choice even if I had disposed of 10,000 euros extra! This piano is a bomb!
