Great to have a monitor of your recordings Contrle c not really for pter sound (especially O 5), coutes of proximity. FEATUREFULL more, managed to stthique (sober). c no m-audio intergalactic

SONORITS

The Fostex are really good, I find them quite right, probably more than other concurrent ds the price range for the lil c mix nicely really comfort. you can be a top lightweight absortion spectrum from below ki is my taste a little Pronon as given the size of boomers, no infra-low tural but this I think the point is frankly subjective, I'd probably take a qq dynamic knowledge ... tt respcte fact, there are no unpleasant surprises!

I tried a lot of stuff before hand that beats the gnlec and Dynaudio, I had not found happiness grd then I pulled into sth I could buy, and Fostex appeared to st as the most convincing, I am very happy tjs they not send a killer but will largely, I let the same sometimes surprised by the quality of the bass. not less than the most !!!, with the experience I think I keep a good memory of my First coutes true, but I'd be happy to have a wider distribution, they st a lil bit small (big sisters 1 st and 2 a bit above)

I bought these speakers (pair) from Cookes Band Instruments, Norwich, UK. I was looking for active monitoring speakers to put a Line6 POD2.3 through. I was advised to listen to these speakers, due to their flat response, and good all-round sound. I tried them, and they did what I wnted them to do.
Cost: £249.00

The sound is natural. The bass is tight, yet smooth, with a strong sense of clarity. The bass parts in music are easily audible. The mid frequencies are smooth and well balanced, it is also extremely clear. The treble is crisp, but is also just rounded at the very top end, as not to be annoying, or obtrusive.
There is great soundstaging, and amazing detail in the stereo field.
The overall sound is very warm, and smooth, but highly detailed. A great sound.
Clean POD sounds, are awesome.

There could have been more connections at the back, this would allow me to connect devices more easily, but 1/4" TRS jack is acceptable.

There is a separate volume on each speaker, wih makes it hard o get the same volume on each, but careful twiddling will sort it out. The volume could have been on the front, to make life easier.

The units seem incredibly robust. Everything looks tight, and well held. The control is solid. There is no rattling at higher volumes.

These speakers are a must to listen to, if your on a budget of £250. They sound absoultely amazing. If your going to mix music, or play POD, or other type units through them, then these are the thing.
Warm, clean, tight, and detailed, awesome!

I bought these speakers because I needed to powered speakers, connect the output of DIGI O1, to the mix of films. I completed a feature film on it, listening to (very) nearby.
I admit that the price I was very motivated when I purchase an urgent need to listen properly and flat.

SOUNDS

The bass are present, with two bass reflex ports on the front. During a mix, I deliberately cut out the bass EQ for fear that they not go on listening to a TV ... In fact, you have to do with the fact that PM 05 is the side of generous.
The stereo image is very precise, careful placement and alignemnt. It can be fatal!

The entire spectrum is sharp and clear ... Always gaffe placement, careful to have the tweeters at ear height.
In terms of dynamics, no worries, it pummeled. Of course, remember that they are listening proximity is not meant to sound to a room. But sitting in front of the speakers, we take what is in your ears!

OVERALL OPINION

I bought them last July.
What I like most is that they develop the dynamics and overall sound, the whole course of their reported sales prices.
I already worked on Genelec 1030, but hey it's not the same price and they are flatter at the low. However, I remain very satisfied.
In my opinion, the price / quality ratio is the best argument for these speakers. To start developing a home studio on a tight budget without compromising on quality, they seem ideal. In addition to their small size allows them to integrate easily into a small space and thus be able to offer a placement, orientation nickel to the listener.

I put 9 / 10, because perfection does not exist and then because the price / quality ratio is tip top ...

I have the pm0.5 for 2 months, I use for recording.
it has a combo between a bi-amp 6.35/xlr
a volume knob
puisance: 40 30 Personal I find them quite dynamic compared to the price

negative point no adjustments other than the volume

The frequency curve is not very neutral, we see the first listen

OVERALL OPINION

I use them for 2 months in addition to EV SENTRY 100A
This is the most unpleasant it was the bump on the bottom which makes the low medium
difficult to hear I think fostex'll have been able to correct this problem but its still good
correct for the price
size was an important factor for me "to move"
I mix an album, complete with the EV SENTRY 100, and I'm very satisfied
no surprises!
we must not hope to work with the lower spectrum !!!!!!!
I find them more right than the YAMAHA MSP5 and warmer than MACKY
I would not recommend crossing the MSP5 to mix! lol

J waited a long time to post, I think be able to do so.

I have the fostex pm0.5 the past 4 years, I have had the opportunity to hear other speakers number in the same price range. I continue to enjoy my pm. Let us let the tastes and colors of ratings: these speakers are not perfect, but their faults are easily "assimilated" and you can really do with monitoring, that s not the case Tapco different models, for example. The other addition to these speakers, c is that they are still a fairly standard sound be used to listen to everything and no matter what, that n is not the case KRK, (which can be pearls to the mix, j though I doubt, and are absolutely disgusting al listening).

PM hold the road even at high levels (c is to be found also that the low and that we can work on it). They render very well sound a potato from the half power.

J have had time to hear my own productions (electronic) made to these forums in other conditions, "wall", sound system, on Tapco, of Krk, the yamaha, the various stereo), and it holds the road really.
