I bought it because I was looking for a good software reverb, I knew the quality of products Lexicon long, the advice I could find were finally convinced me ... And SweetWater was a promo at the time of my research, I could have downloaded to $ 300 (220 €).

For the price paid it better start quickly and easily. And it did. Install is a snap and the presets let you get started instantly. There are A LOT of presets to choose from right out of the box. No searching around the net for decent settings and dialing them in from a window. Each reverb had about 50 presets which highlight the most useful configurations. I got a lot of initial use out of this plugin without even cracking the manual. A beginner producer could use the presets in conjunction with the wet/dry knob and never have to touch or read anything, and it would all sound great.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

I run a small studio with a couple of bands and some friends. We went together and bought this bundle after trying dozens of cheap reverb plugins trying to find one we liked. Unfortunately after we heard the Lexicon PCM's we realized you get what you pay for. This is about the only reverb we use. It can do it all. Need a light vocal hall? Done. Need some reverb on drums? No problem. Crazy spacey ambient effects needed? It can do all that and more. Most of the sounds are fairly classic live/hall/chamber reverbs. Although the random hall plugin is very cool. Some experimentation will yield interesting results. Sometimes we will have an indie band come in who wants an old school sound so we tend to use the vintage plate. It's amazing for that vibe. Generally, the preset options are robust enough that we rarely mess with advanced settings. Sometimes a little EQ setting is needed, but that's true with any reverb. We get great performance from it too. No slowdowns like some heavier reverbs out there.

OVERALL OPINION

What you get here is a top quality reverb collection that's not hard to use. Most producers don't have time to spend an hour fine tuning a hall reverb. We need specific and fast results for all our reverb needs. This bundle in my opinion is the best way to get that. Everyone has there favorites they swear by, well this is mine. I'm rating it an 8 because of the price. But hey...if you want quality.

Single user, and thus put the note takes into account the views of my two predecessors, and the owners of the studios where I worked with and of course the software.

The performance of this software reverb are very good and the computer does not seem to suffer from its use prohibitive cpu and it's obviously a very good thing. Lexicon did a great job ..

OVERALL OPINION

Met and therefore used quite often in the studio this software is really excellent, the reverbs are very nice and pleasant. We find out the character Lexicon, but do not expect to find the grain of the old models like the 224, 200, 480 etc. .. in direct comparisons and in-situ, it is even quite remote and particularly with the 224 L and 480 L. He must know that the rendering of a reverb that is not contained in single algorithm, and the "hard" these old models contributes greatly ..
To conclude, it is undoubtedly one of the best software reverb that I have ever used, although I find the ergonomics a tad disturbing at first used as explained by madien ..

Installation without problem under Windows XP and / or Seven 32-bit. In fact, each algorithm is a plug plugs or 7 in total, not very handy when you want to change algo en route. The graphical interface is large and clear. Coupled with a BCF2000 controller or a touch screen you end up with a remote LARC dedicated to large Lexicon reverb unit with seamless integration into the DAW and full automation. It's beautiful.


SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

The plug is obviously a pure porting algorithms legendary brand: robustness - no crash, code efficiency - low power consumption CPU. While our small portable dual-core powerhouses are facing the old rack of a 480L (and no noise please!), But above all we must recognize the expertise of Lexicon in digital processing: c is beautiful and well written. We just take the comparison of AudioEase Altiverb, the CPU load is well above and with a latency of 512 samples or PCM is not only displays Native 32. So perfect for real time and live and no problem to open multiple instances (imagine a rack of 8 x 480L!).

OVERALL OPINION

Used for several weeks, she finally replaces all my other synthetic reverbs. By bringing the best algorithm ever written on computer hardware, Lexicon is largely over (in terms of price, too). Whatever the algorithm chosen, the sound is fantastic, an incredible natural. Unlike convolution reverbs, the setting is very complete and really helps sculpt the space according to their desires and times of extreme reverb. Everything that happens in this spring described plug, ventilated, it is so beautiful, I feel I have changed pair of ear!

In short, this plug plus a small convolution reverb (like Altiverb) in a corner of your hard drive and the Holy Grail reverb. It is no appeal, there is nothing better after that.

Flawless installation on Mac OS X Snow Leopard. There were no problems with Pro Tools 9.01. Minimal latency (even transparent mixing since PT9 started latency compensation)

Like many, the only downside (not default) that I found that having split algorithms in plugins, making it necessary to open multiple instances (room, hall ...) to work. They have simply taken the concept of "machine" found on their high-end hardware devices: the use of four machines of 960L, each with its algorithm, is the norm during a mix session .

That changes a bit when mixing patterns, but certainly allows the processor to calculate just what you need and not to start a gas plant with 3450 algos available when you want a small Boring!

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

I use a MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo 2.5GHz and 4GB of RAM, and Digi 003 Rack. I dreaded the use of this monster on the laptop, but it is barely heavier than the D-Verb in terms of treatment: one does not feel the burden of calculation. Incredibly light that TLSpace (convolution) result for a very convincing (but different). I did not test in live but there is no reason why it does not work!

have some months I use it, and I am fully satisfied. I used a large (and fans) of the 960L and I did not at once lost in the interface, very close to the LARC2.

I found the reverb with wide experience in other plugins RTAS / TDM as ReverbOne, ReVibe, D-Verb, Eventide Reverb ... and the Lexicon 960LD (big sister hardware to € 10 000.00).

The Lexicon PCM Native Reverb Plug-in Bundle is a set of seven different reverb processors all based on Lexicon's high quality formula that has made them one of, if not the leader in digital reverb for so many years. This bundle is pretty much compatible across the board as far as I can tell as it works for both Mac and PC and in VST, RTAS, and AU plug-in formats. I wasn't the one to install this plug-in on the systems that we've got at the studio, as they were already installed before I started working there. Even though there are seven different plug-ins here for different types of reverbs, they all more or less share the same sort of interface. There are graphs to show you the depth and space that you're trying to emulate, which is handy, as well as metering for input and output levels. Each also has a number of high quality presets that make for great starting points if nothing else. I haven't had a gander at the manual for these plug-ins myself, but it's pretty easy to use on it's own where you probably won't really need one.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

The main room that we've got the Lexicon PCM Native Reverb Plug-in Bundle running on is Pro Tools HD based with a Mac Pro computer. The computer has 10 GB of RAM and dual 2.66 Ghz Intel Xeon processors. We have the bundle running on all of our systems at the studio, and all of them are Pro Tools HD based. However, since this is a native bundle of plug-ins, it does run on RTAS and will take up a little bit of our processing power inside the box, which of course isn't ideal in an HD situation. Having said this, I've been running them all on auxiliary channels and haven't had a performance issues with it to date.

OVERALL OPINION

The Lexicon PCM Native Reverb Plug-in Bundle is one of the most complete bundles of reverb sounds available to home and professional studio owners out there. The sounds are rich and full, just like all of the hardware Lexicon processors that I've used as well. Between the seven different types of reverb plug-ins, the possibilities are pretty much endless as you could get lost for days trying to get new sounds with all the possibilities here. On the other hand there are some great presets, so you can also get some awesome sounds quick and easy from the start. The types of reverb plug-ins included here are Plate, Vintage Plate, Hall, Room, Concert Hall, Random Hall, and Chamber. If you're interested in getting an incredibly complete reverb package for your home or professional studio, the Lexicon PCM Native Reverb Plug-in Bundle is one of your best bets out there.
