The pure analog.
There are references in the world of synthesis, leaving an imprint for all time;
The Roland Jupiter 8, the Minimoog or the Moog 55, Arp as the 2600 or even the Yamaha CS80 Audity E-mu are part of the legend. The Prophet 5 is classified among them.

Potentiometers, Knobs, tchick - tchik, buttons ....

OVERALL OPINION
quite relevant, but with the arrival of VST instruments, it is increasingly difficult to justify the price of certain machinery Hardware. However, this is exactly the type of artwork collector's item that should not be sold or found very difficult on the market Occaz.
The problematic issue of this superb instrument, the Prophet 5 is that it tends to detune naturally after several hours of heating. If the studio or at home, it may still be remediable .. yet on stage it's very unfortunate.
Tip: A good pie on the right side up (flat), it does not slam the card power supply but this puts the transpose / detune 0.
The second generation of Prophet 5 has no such Bugg. There are versions of the Prophet 5 Midifiées ... Chance!
