Aphex and Maingear Partner Up

Audio technology provider Aphex has partnered with custom PC system builders Maingear to offer audio enhancements aimed at game enthusiasts, creative professionals, DJs and musicians.

Aphex’s audio processing technology has been integrated into a Maingear PC solution. Unlike typical EQ, the Aphex Engine is said to work in real-time, restoring and enhancing music, voice and effects individually, regardless of music genre or speaker/headphone solution, according to the company. The licensed Aphex circuitry is designed to allow Intel HD audio connectivity to work with any motherboard or discrete audio solution.

This new computer design was previewed in June 2011 at the Consumer Electronics Association show in New York City and is scheduled to be released in July 2011.
