Combo Amp PortaBass, made in usa, two HP 8 "Custom Eminence, 200 watt solid-state preamp, power amp MTD, 2 channels with separate entrance for different types of instrument, 3 band EQ with semi-parametric mid, works to "boost" independent bass and treble, 0 dB and -12 dB inputs with gain, external effects loop with blend control, balanced line out with level control, Width: 40 cm Height: 40 cm Depth: 25 cm Weight: 15.9 Kilos.

USE

The settings are accurate and efficient hypermarkets. It is easy to get a good sound. Personally I hate too complex equalizers and this time this amp is really easy to adjust. The manual is useless.

SOUNDS

I use this amp in both repeat that on stage. All knobs at noon and the sound is really great with my jazz bass us. The sound is clear, full of dynamic and keeps the Ampeg grain.

All the knobs fully and no noise at 1 meter same parasite of the amp. The PSU is super quiet. It's really impressive the sound that comes out of this little trick.

NOTICE GLOBAL

Despite its small size the Ampeg PBC 228 is an amp that has not ashamed to face with the competition. What I like most is the ergonomics, weight, sound, ease of adjustment, connectors on the rear panel, the two channels etc ... Before I tried to acquire Mark Bass but I found the sound too neutral. The value for money is a product of this quality, but if I had waited four months I would have paid 800 euros instead of 1200 euros débourssés. With experience (2 years) I would do without this choice problem
