Arturia's Analog Factory Experience: The Test

The Arturia Experience Arturia has been showing more and more interest in software/hardware solutions, as can be seen with some of their top of the line projects, such as Origin. Very good features but toy quality (KeyLab 49)

By Godly75, 08/06/2019
Very interesting keyboard and functions.
Only, the keys are toy China quality and break or come loose.
Even with a mint Keylab, you have the risk to slide your finger between the keys.
The rotary knobs have the same toy problem, it's known.
I've now bought a mk2 because most people say the product is improved.

Very good features but again toy quality, second version (KeyLab 61 mkII)

By Godly75, 11/06/2019
I was hoping this second version of Keylab would be road-safe, and Arturia could and should have learned from the many many complaints they got on the internet and their aftersales probably.
But it ain't so, it's the same toy quality as MkI.
Read my review here:

It's the second time I buy a keylab and I will return it.

Check my YT video

As said, very disappointing because I was hoping to finally get a decent controller with decent keybed. Because it has all the features one could wish that I don't find on the competition:

- lightweight
- compact design, for 61keys, PW/MW are placed on top
- height is also ok, so it doesn't take to much space.
- enough controllers and pads
- aftertouch (!)

- Key quality is very bad
- rotary and sliders are low quality

I doubt this will last longer then 5 gigs ;-)
Maybe good on your desk to play some tunes, but nothing road-worthy.
And sure not at 450€.
On the contrary, Arturia software is very nice. but I almost feel I bought the software with a free China keyboard extra ;-)
