0Watt's review (Cort - Viva Active)

By 0Watt, 05/08/2006
Lower Korean.
24 frets.
2 EMG Select (1 serious, 1 acute).
2 volume settings (1 for each pickup), a serious adjustment, an acute setting.
Wood of the handle and marks the bridge?

UTILIZATION

Channel seems pretty nice and easy to play (close enough for my small hands).
Access to acute correct (though I rarely go up there ...).
Nice shape but a little heavy bass (3.8 kg).

SOUNDS

Is better suited to large sounds (I've never been convinced by his sound for slap, but it sounds good for blues, rock, reggae ,...).
Good sustain.

OVERALL OPINION

Aesthetic nice (pearl inserts, dark body that reveals the grain of the wood).
Stack of active electronics not very easy to change (9 screws).
It was my first real bass, I've had almost 10 years. It should cost around € 450-500 at the time.

deni's review (Cort - Viva)

By deni, 03/11/2005
Korean made, 24 frets, Floyd Rose licensed bridge
2 double and 1 single microphone in the center Mighty Mite (Seymour apparently)
The only knob of Tone is also the double splitter for simple switch pulling.
The guitar has a beautiful face: nice shape, body polish Saddle (we see the wood grain)

UTILIZATION

Neck very correct, Access in acute recommend!
The floyd can be used with an extreme playing without be detuned, as some

SOUNDS

The sound is clean enough, but too "dull" I got. I think that by putting better pickups on it, you can get something really pretty.

OVERALL OPINION

Trs a good guitar player with dj a little exprience (the rglage a floyd is not what is easy!).
For a guitar This category, it is really endearing.
Try it with new pickups, because at the level of the mouth, no complaints!
