an open crown (Crown - XTi 2000)

By Super Cinci, 02/05/2012
So I for 2 years, it runs in mid / treble on my front in addition to a peavey CS4000 which deals with subs. the two are separated by an active filter S3WAY Samson, all found its place.

A USB interface to manage the internal DSP, used once to see, but that goes with the application is too heavy. It runs in standard amp.

an amplifier with minimum power is swapped at a price, I can not find it too expensive.

As: switching power supply, so, it is quite light.
The least: DSP too complicated to use (there seldom has time to try it on a benefit)

I would say that I shall take up one, but by then there will be other models!

A nice little amp with a double feature! (Crown - XTi 1000)

I bought this amp for an amateur gospel group whose budget is very tight. It serves as a receiver front associated with 6 full-range passive speakers the Box PA302. He is attacked by a Yamaha 01V96.

He holds his position perfectly sound amplifier, power and finesse of his are at the rendezvous.

This is an amp that includes a digital processor further configurable. It is necessary to connect a computer via USB on the receiver (cable not included) and download the free editing software HiQnet Band Manager on the site Harmanpro.

So I have available two shelving filters, an equalizer, sub-bass generator, a time to set the time alignment of speakers connected to this amplifier, a limiter, a switching input (stereo or Y) switching of speaker outputs (stereo or bridge), 20 memory locations to save the settings, the possibility of locking the front of the amp.

PA302 sounding speakers with great precision, they have great potential, but are not really balanced in their frequency response. They include very little bass.
With this amp and a PC, I was able to rebalance the whole spectrum, enhance the bass, and even create virtual sub-bass speaker that can not normally be issued (sub-harmonics).

Result: in my opinion and my ears (just because I'm accustomed sound engineer), I could recreate a sound quality really fall down on this type of cheap speakers and this amp with adjustable!

I can only recommend this amp, the settings are effective, it can permanently correct the response of any speaker and prevents the purchase of a dedicated processor for each speaker is used as long as we have some concepts in acoustic settings.

The power is there, the power handling to see ... (Crown - XTi 6000)

This review complements the JBL PRX635 I use together.

Unpacking the carton. I connect, I call pushing the parameters to my subs JBL SRX718S, I have a little trouble with only 3 buttons. It's less intuitive than on Driverack and other BSS. I decided to connect the PC via USB for configuration.

Download 40MB of software, USB connection, amp detected, it works! (PC vista ...)

After research, I am disappointed by the fact that we can not say that the parallel output of the amplifier is filtered through low to attack satellites.

I had my back rack with driverack to filter satellites.C is stupid I'm running a processor that has 6 outputs with high pass ... Brief.

I am looking for settings for boxes in the library, can not find the presets for srx718s, it is always associated with the satellite channel at low channel B satellite. I then load those of VRX918S since it is the same case, the same HP but the attachment points in +.

I balance the amplifier, the limiter balance and go.

More fishing biensur with the PRX635 3-Way, we are then amplified Quad, I cut a 85Hz, the slope on the amp is 48db/octave.

It goes down very low, it grows well, the sound is rather round and shook the pants, not a sub-impact SRX.

During testing, the limiting amplifier was-6dB, I never saw the light turn-10db on the receiver. To reach-20db output was already level, this amp really underfoot in power.

Attention to food, the 1700W has given PRX are absorbed, the XTI has 1800W, as they are switching power supplies provide the margin on food, I was able to trigger the power so mute, I 3 devices on the strip.

I finally feel that my subs work compared to when I fed my QSC PLX3402. Normal he developed the 2x2000W/4ohm 2x1100W/4ohm cons of XTI.

I still have doubts about keeping the amp outdoors in summer, when tested in a cellar at 18 degrees, the fan mounts have a little plan, it is controlled by the amp up and down constant speed. The amp is filled radiators, D oblige!

A powerful and ultimately made clear, what I was looking for.
A similar system then in Nexo LS600 2PS10 R2 2 boxes and an amp NXAMP 4x1 is almost 2 times more expensive!

Here then for about 7000 € a system 2x1200W in subs (2x800W power amp horsepower) + 2x1500W satellites in well-functioning, flexible and compact.

<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"><strong>For how long have you been using it?
<strong><span style="font-weight: normal;"><span style="white-space: pre;"><strong> </strong></span> More than a year on Nexo PS 15 and troubleshooting on APG.
What thing do you like most/least about it?</strong>
<span style="white-space: pre;"><span style="font-weight: normal;">In fact, I do not like it at all, I do not feel it.
</span> <span style="font-weight: normal;"> </span></span> <span style="font-weight: normal;">It's soft, it's messy, it bof. The knobs were already weak, causing cuts!
Did you try many other models before getting this one?
<strong><span style="white-space: pre;"> </span> <span style="font-weight: normal;">No, it was a proposal from my supplier and it seemed correct.</span>

What is your opinion about the value for the price?

<strong>Knowing what you know now, would you make the same choice? ...

<span style="white-space: pre;"> </span> <span style="font-weight: normal;">No. I had to change CTS2000 (too fragile) and my choice was to Ecler and EV.</span></strong></span>
