Microsoft introduced its new Surface generation of touch tablets, with a new hardware and software bundle option for DJs and remix fans.
The Microsoft Surface Music Kit combines a touch control surface and a software for the Surface 2. The controller replaces the additional standard keyboard designed for the tablet and offers all the tools a DJ or musician needs to remix songs: 16 pressure-sensitive touch pads, three inline faders and record, mute, solo, volume buttons…
The software gives you the ability to import your music, sync tracks, create loops and use these loops and samples to create multitrack songs, with waveform display.
The projects can be exported in MP3, WAV and WMA formats and you can share them on the #RemixProject online platform opened by Microsoft.
Microsoft did not communicate the price of this bundle. The Surface 2 tablets will retail from $499 and the Surface Pro 2 from $899. Both new versions will be available starting October 22nd. More info at www.surfaceremixproject.com.
