New Meyer Galileo Callisto 616 AES processor

Meyer Sound will release in February, 2014, a new digital sound processor in the Galileo Callisto Series.

Named Galileo Callisto 616 AES, this new version allows for driving the Meyer Sound line arrays with a dual hardware and software solution. It can also be used as a main mastering processor in order to send digital audio to the Meyer “satellite” processors of the series, namely Galileo Callisto 616 and 408, for along with analog inputs and outputs, the 616 AES offers AES 3 connections.

As a mastering tool, you get a U-Shaping 5-band EQ with adjustable slops, widths and gains, 5 parametric filters on each output and additional Tru-Shaping 5-band parametric filters and EQ on each input. Other features include automatic aligning for the Meyer line arrays, atmospheric correction and more.

The Galileo Callisto 616 AES works in tandem with the Compass software on both Mac and PC via Ethernet connection.

  • 6 analog, AES/EBU digital or mixed inputs
  • 16 AES3 digital outputs
  • 8 mirrored analog outputs
  • Built-in DSP processor
  • U-Shaping 5-band parametric filter and EQ
  • Simultaneous high-pass and low-pass filters
  • Up to 2 seconds of delay on inputs and outputs
  • LED meters for inputs, presence/clipping and outputs
  • Mute switches
  • 24-bit / 96kHz AD/DA converters
  • 96kHz / 32bit floating internal processing
  • Dedicated connection for the Meyer Sound SIM3 audio analyzer
  • Ethernet connection for remote control on Mac or PC with the Compass software
