SOUNDS

Roland sounds typical round.
Sounds of the Steinway Piano has been extraordinary: a multi sample of 88 notes very expressive
There is in addition to a specific effect for the piano: Sympathetic RESO simulating the resonance of other strings of the piano when playing and allows you to set the lid is opened.
The electric pianos are very round see very well but not deaf or there is not enough preset for my taste (the reason the ES surpasses all)
Guitars and Brass: beautiful nothing to envy the grounds are, it's different, complementary.
Synth sounds: Bad Normal nothing exciting yet there are many (too?)
Organs: Bad classic yet when one is accustomed to the organs of the Motif ES is demanding deveint!

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 3 weeks and I never get tired of playing acoustic instruments.
I also have a Yamaha Motis ES, and find complementary products: The Motif has a rich and clear sounds, arpeggios developed, the preset powerful direct effects.
The Fantom is round and balanced.
If I had to choose between a workstation Fantom X or Motif ES, I will choose when the same pattern. But the expander FXR is considered as a supplement.
