UTILIZATION
We must make the effort to address a lot of hours of programming this synth and understand the benefits of vector synthesis (inaugurated some years earlier on the PROPHET VS).
It is awarded for such work by the wealth of sounds that can create and modify.
SOUNDS
Factory programmed sounds are already amazing!
The creative possibilities of sound and wave sequences are almost unlimited, especially with the large number of available effects.
Attacks are free on percussive and brass but where the KORG WS-EX excels is in ground and ethereal sounds ...
OVERALL OPINION
I used it from 1992 until 2009, when I stole it ...
With experience, certainly I would do the same choice.
NB: only downside: loss of brightness of the LCD monochrome backlit after a few years (it is still readable).
