UTILIZATION

Configuration is very simple, we take care of quickly,
the manual is not clear enough in my opinion and it is better to directly test, it is much more meaningful.
The best is to go on forums, watch videos on the web.

I've had one year?
I tested it in the store before choosing but choose between effect type or mpc or another.

I love the fact to control the effects live and have tracks repeatedly.

I do not like the difficulty of callage tracks them (sometimes gaps of time measurement), and made up for it, and the fact that the loops are short obbligatoirement.

Everything has already been said about it: good effects, number, intelligently classified, 6 batteries (mostly loops), and a 10aine synths (controllable from the KP but also via midi).

I personally use it on a mixer or directly behind an instrument, so I would have preferred I / O jack rather than RCA but it's still a detail.

UTILIZATION

The manual is useless, the beast is very intuitive!

Everything happens very simply, this is where we look for and what is under the fingers. No menu extension, everything is accessible.

SOUND QUALITY

DJ effects are typed (that is to say, to me they sound even better on the overall mix on a particular instrument).

I use it mainly on my mix as well, but also live in groups (I put our instrumentals in a mixer and I send all the Kaoss Pad, which re-enters a portion of the console).

Finally, I also used to play alone, usually in my ass piano (Nord Stage Ex). It usually starts with a drum loop of Kaoss, I add a bass line on the piano, then a layer of Wurlitzer to fill, and then I keep the fourth "track" to save the Kaoss stuff voice. By turning you say "go, just 5 min." 2h after you're still trying to have fun.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for more than 2 years. As it was not really a direct competitor I tried other models in the range (KP1, KP2, and miniKP KPQuad), but this is by far my favorite!

The value is a safe bet, and I will not have to redo this choice because I do not divide them. Moreover, secondhand, we see not the masses. Proof that once there, you do not let go.

UTILIZATION

My Profile: home-studio owners to electro house. I'm not a DJ, this is my first Kaoss Pad. on the other hand I've experienced a lot of Korg products before.

Unpacking, pleasant surprise for materials, metal is good! Even the knobs and fader are metal, which is quite rare and pleasant to be reported.

Opening the manual, ouch! It is poorly illustrated, it seems thin to an effects processor. Obviously it's less complicated to use than Electribe. See directly on the machine to get an idea.

Wiring and power, yes! It responds really well, the pad is very nice, is not afraid to abuse a little thanks to a protective adhesive plastic to put it right out, well thought Korg.

SOUND QUALITY

The sound is really nickel, a little breath on the input line (really honest work), for against the microphone is less pink (unless we talk about pink noise, then it makes perfect sense), avoid at all costs. In any case, a microphone with a 6.35mm jack is not oriented pro.

Amazing for an effects processor, you can not assign the effect you want on the X and Y axes of the pad. This gap in programming, it seems too complicated for a DJ (target marketing of the product) is largely compensated by the profusion of well designed presets, versatile enough for a lot of uses. My favorites are the loopers, you can manipulate beats on the fly very efficiently.

Side "Radias heritage," there are some drum rhythms of electro, with a soft kick and snare a lot.
