The Crown XLS202 is a stereo power amplifier that I've used in a professional recording studio setting. I've used the amp with a set of Yamaha NS-10Ms, which of course are passive monitors. I also run a Crown D75 amplifier with a set of NS-10Ms at home, so I'm familiar with both other Crown amps and with what Yamaha NS-10Ms sound like. The XLS202 has XLR inputs and outputs, as well as speaker cable outputs for both of the channels. Each channel delivers 200 watts of power at 8 ohms, or 300 watts at 4 ohms. It is rack mountable and will take up two spaces if you choose to rack it up. The front panel is simple as it just has leveling knobs for each of the channels. It also has LED lights for monitoring your signal, clipping, and fault. As far as I can tell with the monitors that I used them with, the XLS202 is quite a power amplifier and in general sounds quite good. They definitely deliver more than enough power for the NS10s, and would absolutely be suitable for monitors much bigger that require more power. I would however suggest making sure that this power amp would be suitable for your monitors before buying it. I don't really think that you can go wrong with this amplifier, as 200 watts should be more than suitable for home studios. The price is definitely reasonable for this power of an amplifier as well. Crown is a company that I've liked for years as I've never had a problem with their power amps and they always seem to do a great job for me. The model in particular is built extremely well and should last a long time if treated properly. I'd gladly vouch for the Crown XLS202 and Crown in general any day...
