This is my first measurement microphone, I bought it to perform acoustic measurements of my home.
It gave me satisfaction, used with the app to my REW measures given the responses were very correct is quite accurate (in my opinion)
Against other brands like it much the way that some people say it is better than the Beh 8000, and cheaper ... I know I have not compared !!!
Apex book paper curve is much less convenient than calibration file as little to do with a Dayton EMM-6, but it's not the same price.
I put 9 for what it does not come with a calibration file but for the price we must not complain, the construction is solid, it is quite small and I would do without this choice problem ...

OVERALL OPINION

Once used to make measurements and once to record an acoustic guitar (it seems that this type of microphone can also be used to catch her).
I had not tried any other model before purchasing it fit the budget I wanted to spend. We do not acoustic measurements every four morning and I am an amateur home studio, not a pro studio.
In the second test (sound guitar), the microphone was HS. Full of crackling, a lousy sound, the circuit is probably already dead. I'm not even sure the things that I've done with are reliable. I may have had the misfortune to fall on a defective model and for the price (around 40 €), can not be too demanding, but still ...
Conclusion: quality / price very bad. I do not have that choice.

OVERALL OPINION

I have this mic for two or three years.
I use it regularly for measures only behind the Arta and Spectrum Lab, mainly software.
I compared the curves obtained with those published by certain manufacturers of various materials and it corresponds.
For the price, I think it is a great investment.
This is probably not a micro transplanted to a musical instrument, and it probably takes phantom power quality to accompany and correct measurements.
If I lose, I bought another identical without asking question.
