Small prambule: rfre notice that my exprience with the Ibanez JTKB200 acqurir I have just two days ago. I jou a few hours in my room one day and six hours of RPET. This notice is RALIS "hot". Time confirm or deny ...

The Ibanez Jet King JTKB200 is manufactured in China. It has a handle with a three-part Saddle rosewood fingerboard fitted with 22 frets rather flat and wide, like old Rickenbacker. The body is accajou, also longitudinally into three parts glue. The handle is screwed to the body by four screws. Mcaniques are the oil bath type (such Ibanez SR). They are lgres, small and plutt prcises. The nut is plastic. Plutt well finished. The bridge is in its design, like that of the Ibanez ATK, the diffrence prs strings that can not be here passes through the body. The bridges are transversely shutdowns of frets in which screws SETTING THE height of the bridges are s'insrer. The nut and bridge are well constructed and do not generate buzz indsirable.
The jack is located on the edge of the instrument under the pots, which is common in TRS Ibanez. The socket is recessed and trs robust.
Micro level, the Jet King has two humbuckers "soap bar" with chrome covers. The Fully Electronic is passive: SETTING THE one volume for each microphone and a Tone gnrale. On my bass, knob the neck pickup has a notch for stopping in the middle of its course, what I find weird plutt!
Finishing-General for the instrument is good trs. The body is painted bright trs (with sunburst finish on my bass, as in the photo above), one of the handle is matte and the left hand allows you to easily navigate from one position to another. Dtails few tiny finish reminds us that this bass is really not CHRE and perfection can not be proposed for this award. Let me explain:
quail small painting on a screw fitting body / sleeve buttons knob you can withdraw without great effort, screws skid plates screws not always right ... trs Yeah I know ... I chicane! But nothing comes gcher trs the good work General for violin making.
As usual with Ibanez, ads are the first contact with the impression of value for money (bought on the Internet for 299Eur almost a joke !!!...). So note.

UTILIZATION

On the handle, the key ct is white decor with a net (like Rickenbacker), which emphasizes the "vintage touch." The handle is big enough and goes in line plutt Fender Precision than that of the Ibanez SR. In fact, the handle is similar to that of the trs Ibanez ATK (which I also possde). Only the frets are diffrent: jumbo round on the ATK and jumbo Platts Jet King. Other than that, the grip is similar trs. This is the kind of profile that I flat. It gives a feeling sturdy and reassuring but not be tiring to play. For me, trs so enjoyable. CHAC is more acute in the ais on a Fender Precison and poses really no particular problem (the heel body / neck is rounded).
The body of the bass is much smaller than the Fender and Ibanez is also more lgre these instruments (that is not a lightweight either eh !...). Deboud plays with a strap, the Jet King is well balance and does not sting the nose. Thanks body shape, it is enjoyable to play sitting trs and holds well on the knee. Gripe: the rear of the body has no dcoupe that would have allowed a better fit on the belly or chest. So after two / three hours of BPS, we begin to feel the well shall adopt the body of the sternum (I play strap high enough). Other than that, it's a real pleasure to play! In addition, it happens to me many RULES home with the strings low enough (2.5 mm between the 12th fret and the E string, set of strings 45/105). This makes the game faster, but sometimes the chords frieze as given that I attack the strings hard enough. Of all the bass I had, I always go back to the strings of at least half a millimtre. So this default does not come from the bass itself (I've also verifies the handle and it is perfectly rgl.
In terms of rglages sound is not very complicated since the bass is a passive electronic. His grave with the neck pickup, the bridge pickup with mdium and equilibrated with two microphones. The SETTING THE Tone can cut the treble if the DSIR. For those who manipulate adj pots in a Jazz Bass, the King will not throw a big dpaysement.
Well, well ... plutt trs well all that!

SOUNDS

Test "unplugged", the Jet King sounds pretty modern, strangely! In fact, the sound is acoustic, again, trs close to that of the ATK (a little more brilliant because of the ATK round of the frets). In the way they rsons, I found these two really comparable low. It sounds hard with a big sustain. The vibration of the strings propagates well in all the body. The sound is rich and full. Not easy to dcrire this kind of impression ... Trs massive anyway!
Dj essay for a Rickenbacker 4001 and an Epiphone Thunderbird, I find the Jet King foncirement sounds more modern. Try unplugged on a slapper Rickebacker 4001 or Thunderbird and you'll IMMEDIATE this misrable his "pizza plate!" ... Jet on the King, not at all. The sound unplugged is SLAPP carrment well! You will say then that the Rickenbacker and Thunderbird are in any case not made for slapper and I would say that you are right, but the "SLAPP unplugged" can be a good ide of rsonnance " sec "of the instrument.
Once branch (live on a PA amp with speaker QSC RMX1450 TecAmp 410 color that almost no sound), the Jet King then gave a sound "old". Trs DIFFERENT from that of the ATK (my god finally I started to fear !!!). This is the typical sound of humbuckers passive: with low-fat and heavy mdiums prcis, the "crisp" in the high-mdiums and extreme (low and high) for slightly marked (for me, the opposite of the Jazz Bass). In gnral color, the sound resembles that of a Thunderbird (plutt that the Gibson Epiphone). Trs large and long sustain. A good big sound while serious and low-mdium, trs Dfine well I think. The sound is not as aggressive on ATK. Moreover, the ATK of the electronic is the poo ... It should be called ATKK ... Well, in short, I still ...
The output level of the Jet King is lev but still far from that of active bass. Thanks to the electronic and passive humbuckers, the signal is completely dpourvu background noise, which is always fun for trs register or when playing trs fort. Passive electronics, ca also means that the sound is "pure", direct out microphones and can therefore do what we want because the signal is very clean trs. For my part, I used the preamp with a king Jet Valvèdre EBS branch in the config + QSC TecAmp without compressor. And it sounds trs trs ben good! The sound that goes well with my scratch. In short, it warmly and generously filled the space of serious, it's not runny, trs is dynamic, prcis and round ...
And as said the other mustachioed pipe: the bandaison, Dad, can not be commanded ca ...

At versatilis well imagine the following sounds:
Reggae roots with fingers (round and hollow) with the neck pickup and Tone Farm (Bob Marley, Peter Tosh ...).
Groovy Funky fingers with the bridge pickup and Tone half farm (Chic, Earth Wind and Fire ...).
Indie Pop and Rock to the fingers with two microphones, one open and the Tone trslgre overdrive (Soundgarden, Beatles ...).
Metal / Hardcore mdiator to open with two microphones, the Tone and open a preamp for a little saturated sound and make the aggressive treble (From Ashes Rise, Fantmas ...).

With the Jet King, you will be unable to obtain the following sounds:
Its the SLAPP Marcus Miller or Level 42.
Mdiator the crystalline Tool or Guns' n Roses.
Its heavy and trs trs mtal dig way Pantera or Korn.

Sailing yacht ... The Jet King sounds! She goes a little off the beaten track by Fender and Music Man. It is even a little share in the family Ibanez brand I know well. The Jet King paigns the sound of the Rickenbacker 4001, the Gibson Thunderbird and Hofner Beatle-Bass.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for two days and I try dj in my room, RPET and recording and I am satisfied with TRS. Members of my group too!
The feature that I like most is the design and finish gnrales and configuration of pickups with passive electronic.
For 300 EUR, the report qualitprix carrment is unbeatable! For someone looking for a bass in this spirit, I urge the Jet King compared the Epiphone Thunderbird.
Really good coffee, manufacturing and modern finish with the "old" and a face of love!
