    Very Nice Bass

    Ibanez SR300DXPublished on 03/09/13 at 13:28
So look here....this is not an expensive bass guitar. What it is is a very nice inexpensive bass guitar.

    UTILIZATION

I put some high quality strings on mine and it is sweet. After I set it up and adjusted everything it plays great.

    SOUNDS

With the tone controls and the bass boost it can get lots of tones.

    OVERALL OPINION

I bought mine used for $130 with no case. That may be the best $130 I've ever spent. This guitar is fantastic for the money. I also have an Ibanez AS73 6 string that is a wonderful guitar too. Ibanez just knows how to make good guitars that are not expensive............and they do it well!

I got it at, Marshals music for $299, as a show model.

It is really balanced in my mind with a good string spacing, whoops the ass on a fender p-bass in weight and feel, it seems like half the weight, and handels better. Thin neck,34" scale 24 frets, its a great bass.

some buzz on the e at the 12th, but that depends on the playing style

Good quality, my only issues are minor cosmetic dings, but its an show model so i expected that

Good unit, i would have payed full price for it, doesnt wear down on the shoulder.

    Unbelievable-like new on eBay $150.00

I am a long time guitarist and I decided that learning bass would be cool as I do multi-track recording and want to play several instruments. I was looking for something inexpensive and bought the IBANEZ. I was astonished at the high quality of the guitar (at $150), but more importantly the the nice punchy sound and overall playability. The guitar definitely doesn't look cheap and I actually think that it looks good. I like the active pickups and the guitar doesn't hum (as some Fenders do).

It is not so much don't like, but more surprise that I had to change a battery. This was new to me. When I first got the bass, I was suffering fret buzz and plann…

It is not so much don't like, but more surprise that I had to change a battery. This was new to me. When I first got the bass, I was suffering fret buzz and planned to either adjust the truss rod or bridge, but the buzz has mysteriously disappeared. Maybe it was from being shipped. The guitar plays fine now and hold a tuning very well.

As indicated above build quality and finish are first rate. Although I am second owner and the guitar was shipped from the Midwest to the East, the guitar still looks brand new. All of the components look and function fine and I have not had any buttons fall off as did one reviewer.

I'm new at bass, but a very experienced musician. I know instuments and this is a high quality, well thought out guitar. You can produce a variety on tones and it pops nicely if you slap it. I would recommend it to anyone. Unless you are on MTV and have an unlimited budget, this may be your instrument. Add it to your list of models to try out.

i bought it as my second guitar from music123.com
    it cost me 350$
i didnt know if i should thake this one or the yamaha but once i played it i took it.

except from that this bass has a really funky sound and you can play many styles with it.

there is not much that i dont like except from the pickups, the dont have enough power.

i also dont like the ibanez strings which you get with the bass. i changed them to ernie ball strings.

    SR4 neck
    3pc. Maple Neck Material
    Agathis Body
    24/Medium frets
    Rosewood Finger Board
    B100 bridge
    IBZ DXP Neck PU
    IBZ DXJ Bridge PU
    Pearl Dot Inlay
    CH : Hardware Color
    PHAT

on the bottom line this is a truely great buy, ibanez basses are low priced but give excellent results, and this is the best example.
this bass is great for many styles, especially for funk
and the phat adds wonderfull variation to your playing

This is my frist bass,Ive been playing for just over a year now...i spent a lot of time chosing a bass to start with, i did want to set off on the Squire...Fender Fakes..road..so i chose an Ibanez and paid just over £220 for it...witha case, strap and strings..from Academy Of sound..

Its built as solid as a rock and altho ive become a very competent player i always find that when i pick up my ibanez that I'm goin to find something new..Slapping can be a bit tricky because of the Ol-Pencil neck on the bass..tho with a bit of movemnt and a bit of practice..u can get quite a bassy thump when u slapping...Slides are a brezze..the Active electronics give this bass a powerful punch and its great…

Recent ive been looking a for a new bass...my parents said they'd get me one because i got 145/150 for my Grade 8 Rock School. Ive noticed that the ibanez is good but again..the neck.,.because i tend to do alot of Stu Zender-esc licks..its far too narrow..and im quicker falling for wide neck..s the fretboard isnt flat its slightly round which means when slapping the string tend to slide down the neck...the electronic have failed twice on me..and ive re-wired it twice..its now working fine...i have found it very hard to remove fret buzz...but after a year of tweaking it's sounding sweet...but the worst thing is that's it's bass wood.it doesnt move and contract due to room conditions as they change.i notice that sometime...the bass sound really sweet and heavy and the slapping tone is perfect and im like..wow i sound good...then other times...it sound well kind weak and feable..and your like oh im really not that good....but i still like it...

Top Notch..apart from electronic's failing and the damn knobs that wont stay on

Good bass.great for starts......and experience players who want something a little different...not the best....but good...basswood body lets the side down when climatic change take place..but EQ is great for playing around with...tho u do get lots of Reverb....Become Stu...And by one...

    It is made Indonsie.
There are 24 frets on the fretboard and the pickups are Ibanez Pickups PJ. There is also an active qualisation on the low (a little lightweight as qual).
In rglage there a low volume micro, micro aige a volume, a knob Tone knob a low boost (as he says).
The handle is trs quick end (as I like them).
Compared to the price, the configuration is satisfactory.

    UTILIZATION

The handle is enjoyable trs, Access in Aiges is very easy and is trslgre. Before I played bass on a silent type who trs Jazz bass heavy. Playing with this low a t a relief.
The sound is good without being exceptional.

    SOUNDS

If you want to go deeper into the sound it is even s'aperoit the microphones are really null and qualisation bass boost is really runny.
As I did not want me Sparer I change the pickups with EMG PJ pickups and has become a good bass with good sound.

I put a note by taking into account the original pickups.

    OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 3 years.
MODEL I tried several before you buy it and I n'aivait not a big budget this time l.
It's a good bass but you have to change the qual and microphones, which I did.
If c'tait again, I would do it because I like the violin Ibanez.

The average rating is because of the microphones.

The bass sounds as good on the mtal, as the blues through the slap.
