Brown Shell Pickguard 3 folded. Weight: 3.850 kg, Easel Type vintage jumpers "spiral" Vintage Style Mechanical Reverse, volume, two tone knobs 250Kohms Audio, capacity 0.1 uF, Micro Alnico U.S. 62.
UTILIZATION
Like my RI'57, PB handle very nice, round width at nut: 43mm at 12th fret: 57.5 mm thick at the first fret: 21.6 mm at the 12th fret: 24.5 mm. Weight: 3.850 kg, so nothing strenuous with this instrument. Access to acute is the standard PB is not made to play the piccolo to Stanley Clarke.
SOUNDS
The sound? Tested with large flat yarn drawing, it is the "Funk Machine" by James Jamerson neither more nor less. But I prefer the round wound strings, cast the rock'n'roll change their spots ... So its a very good typical PB key rosewood, I will not mention all the bass players who have used it and thousands of recordings made with this instrument. His best friend is obviously the Ampeg SVT, but plugged into my B100R or better in my Fender Studiobass is also nickel.
OVERALL OPINION
PB Rosewood I had before it a Tokai that sounded very good but a bit below the Squier anyway. I found it at 650 € an ad on the net, reasonable price when I see speculation built around a series JV. So keep playing and without moderation, I do (try) to music, not commerce.
