News TC Electronic Nova System

TC Electronic announces the immediate release of Nova System, a new floor-based, all-in-one guitar solution combining the quality of analog distortion and overdrive sounds with the convenience of digital controls.

Loaded with the best effects from TC’s renowned G-System, Nova System is an all-in-one solution aimed at guitarists who want setup simplicity without sacrificing tonal fidelity. What makes the Nova System’s originality is NDT™ Nova Drive Technology — an innovative drive and distortion circuit that offers true analog sound under preset and expression control. While the drive circuit is 100% analog and physically separated from the digital effects, its controls are digital. This way, the drive effects can be tweaked, stored and recalled in exactly the same way as any of the digital effects, and the amount of distortion can be controlled in real time using an expression pedal.

The Nova System features six high quality effects blocks taken straight from the G-System, including compression, EQ, Modulation, Pitch, Delay and Reverb — all programmable and storable in 60 user presets.
The Nova System’s overdrive emulates a classic tube amp overdrive, ranging from slightly warm and subtle overdrive to high gain for screaming leads, yet retaining chord clarity even with complex voicing. The Nova System’s distortion is fat and aggressive and allows for full and massive chords and fluent compressed leads, all with a raw, crunchy and tube-like tonal character. Tweaking the guitar volume control will allow for anything from semi-clean chords to intense leads.

The Nova System also features Hi-Z and balanced input, balanced stereo outputs, internal noise gate based on the G-System’s, 30 factory presets and two footswitch layouts — preset and pedal — with an option for adding a G-Switch for further control. It will be available by the end of March 2008, MSRP is 699€.
