After years of testing software, I discovered Reason 1.0. This program made it possible for me to make music with the few things I know. I bought Reason 2.5 in a store and it was about €400.

You can combine as many samplers and drummachines as you like.
You can put any sound in them and play with it.
Every style off music can be made with it.
Via Rewire you can caonnect it to your sequencer.

It's not so easy to master your song.But this is not the point for Reason, making music is.
Wavelab,T-Racks,... are beter for the job.

It has a very nice layout and everything is very clear. To be able to use 2 screen is very usefull. You can splitt your sequencer and hardware (it looks like hardware, the NN-19, DrRex, NN-XT,...).
Duallhead vgacard is the way to go with Reason.

The best music production software I've ever seen. Easy to use. Nice layout.
But it misses some things, like a spectrum meter,phase scope.

On the Mac, the installation is really transparent and fast trs. The passage of 2.0 2.5 was done in fifteen minutes (mostly because it takes insrer dsinsrer both CD and by the way, which is slow with an Apple SuperDrive). Then a manual too short on news, but the sound does not read it s'coute. 10, so.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

On my Mac G4 887, I have not yet found the limits of the software. A dozen instruments, at least twice as many racks (especially equalizer and compressor), five or six tables, mix, just the new reverb, and runs like a charm. Really, it was a studio right top quality low price. Finally, the stability is so far absolute, not a single crash, not the least error. Propellerheads Congratulations!

OVERALL OPINION

I started with Reason 1.0, dja j'tait fan, that's when Reason 2.5 was released, and the ultimate answer all my wishes (in sound, of course), I do never say ass C IS THE BOMB !!!!!, without being wrong with competition, they can go to bed this is my opinion and only my opinion. 10/10 without hesitation.

No problem, quickly and smoothly, no prs 10 minutes or 15 seconds, adpend whether or not we want to recover each time the CD Factory Sound Bank.
Problem of compatibility: Cubase 5 is not compatible with the rewire of V 2.5, it is only compatible with Cubase SX. 1 point less for dtail.
The manual? To do that .... No need for manual c'tait is configured like a breeze.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

IMac 350, 384 MB of RAM. V 2.0.1 runs the nickel, while the 2.5 starts to be limited but it can work all the same.

I use Reason has always been my opinion is the top, cot simplicity and performance, we can couraging his music without the fuss, all I say, strongly future releases, so we s'clater can still plusssss.

No problem installing, though somewhat slow if we shall decide to copy the CD 2 and 3 on its hard drive.
No incompatibility meeting date, despite a few crashes after its use as a ReWire client with FL Studio.

Despite my deprecated configuration (Athlon TBird 1Ghz, 256 MB SDRAM), the software is perfectly stable, and has never experienced any "saturation".
It allows the use of a large number of synths and effects without blocking your computer so that you can not go read your emails!

OVERALL OPINION

Reason I test in its demo version 1.0 some time ago but, as all beginners, its interface compltement Drout me ... I regret also always a tutorial for people who are in this situation. Despite this incident, I could not call rsister version 2, not counting the gnreuse (but somewhat normal) which consits Propellerheads offer to upgrade to version 2.5 for free.

Reason running on a Powermac Dual 1.42 Ghz, 1 GB of RAM and a card with Motu 828 Mk2. I use it with Logic Pro cnonjointement via rewire. No problem! The number of modules that can be stacked in the rack without saturating the processor is simply amazing. Bravo!

OVERALL OPINION

Used for about a year. I love this software for its faithful reproduction of a studio hardware. Everything is there, in the sampler synth granular through the drum machine, the unit of effect, the table mix, the dynamics processors etc.. The sound is impeccable, the interface never faulted (5min me enough to start composing) and the possibility of routing audio through the virtual jacks are simply awesome! I love the drive REx lines combined with the drum machine. This is the ultimate duo to create loops incredible! Damage, however, that audio is not provided (not record vocals in reason)
E nrésumé: a highly flexible software (I use it in rewire with logic pro but it also runs stand alone or as a single virtual instrument) that can be used for virtually any style of music. I would add that Liam Howlett (Prodigy) composed his new album via a 95% Reason. No comment ...

Installation is very simple, I had no incomptatibilit notorious Configuration is very simple, and the manual is more than enough and Retailer.
This product is a marvel of ergonomics.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

The software runs on an AMD Athlon XP 2600 + on an Abit NF7S 2.0 with 512 DDR 3200, the HD is a WD 140 GB 7200 rpm. The sound card uses a MIDI Crative Sound Blaster Live 5.1 and I have no problems, unlike some other cards (Terratec low-end)

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 3 months and I must say I am completely sduit by its ease of use.
I deal with this software from the House of electro, but also the background music for a role play (Classical Symphony) with the same ease.

<ul> - The installation is really going on without pb. Just remember to uninstall the old version (2.0 or 2.0.1) before installing R2.5. The software works perfectly, although more demanding than before in system resources, but given the quality of the effects we forgive him!

Personally I do not believe t.

Fully in the case, there's sacrment ambitious. Namoins, Properllehead has not
the exprience and expertise of leading brands like Roland, Yamaha, or Korg, which

It is true that software like Reason is much cheaper and all that synthtiseurs
these racks (300 euros, given c is not it?). So this is an excellent quality price.

Nanmoins, I think that their present was not a substitute for the purchase of a good synthbr /> or plug ... for now ... I say mostly because I have not had normment
fun to play on virtual instruments in Reason, despite a near-zero latency.

I use it for 3 years ... No complaints, each version bringing its share of new trs enjoyable every time!
the price is ridiculous ...
with soft Native Instruments is the heart of my virtual studio, perfect for my virus complments C. ..
audio quality level, it could be even better ... like the sequencer, using trs ... but I return to the board of a sequencer externally much more convenient, especially for a new world mix (I find the reverb such unsatisfactory compared to the standard Waves) ... again considering the price and the (other) of grouping is a must!!

Used with G4, 1.25 Ghz, 512MB Ram, internal sound card.
The software works perfectly with my config, and same with Pro Tools (via Rewire included in the Pro Tools 6.x version for OSX). No latency, no particular concern report.
Enough said.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had a few prs year.
I love the sound of traffic and Malstrm Subtractor and trying various cblages.
I am not convinced by trs THE FIRST rverb they had put. The deuxime carrment is better, even if the ACCS paramtres simple is not possible (or so I have not found.
I'm not satisfied with the trs eq and compressor, but the new version comes out beginners in March 2005 contains a compressor I believe. So should be a rsolu shortly.
As the edition I can not find the window of squenceur trs intuitive, but when you're in it all goes quickly trs.
This is an excellent software!
But beware, those on pc should see also the last Fruity Loops is totally stunning!!
