Scarlett 18i6 1st gen, downloaded latest drivers and watched the latest video for tweaking windows 10.

When ableton is open I cannot play audio from any other sources (web, vlc, windows media etc)

When I exit ableton I can, after switching to 44.1, sometimes have to disconnect and reconnect it works.

One would think just using 44.1 in Ableton would make this work, but it doesn't. I still have to exit out of ableton in order to play other media.

Not totally sure, but I've had this issue years ago and thought it was resolved with the focusright optimizing video. Pretty sure a windows update manifested this.
