Peavey announces the new SP BX Series loudspeaker enclosures.
Black Widow series loudspeakers are the centerpiece of the SP BX Series, designed with Kevlar-impregnated cones and 4" edge-wound aluminum ribbon voice coils wound on Kapton formers. They feature die-cast aluminum alloy frames, a vented magnet structure for cooling and spring-loaded terminals with industry-standard color coding.
Every enclosure in the SP BX Series features Peavey’s field-replaceable speaker basket design, a feature that allows users to replace blown cones on the gig by removing three screws to replace the cone and basket assembly.
SP BX Series products feature a 2" RX22™ titanium diaphragm compression driver with ferrofluid cooling. The 90° x 40° horn has an asymmetrical vertical polar response, designed to aim the sound at the audience members and minimizing ceiling reflections for clarity and gain before feedback (10° up x 30° down).
The SP BX Series includes the following models: SP 2BX, SP 3BX, SP 4BX, SP 5BX, SP 6BX, SP 118BX, SP 218BX, SP FHBX, SP 12M and SP 15M.
