«  Too good to Muff (haha) »

Analog fuzz made in Russia. This pedal seems to have been cut in the armor of a tank soviet. Better not run over by the bulldozer, it could make it fart. I do not see how you can make more solid.

I noted that 7/10 for its bulky. A little narrower than the Pi Rican model, it is against higher. Food not a lot of room on a pedalboard, but too bad, she's too good!

3 classic knobs: volume, gain and tone.

Please note, no power supply 9 v battery only. This can be remedied easily by buying a specific adapter (2 € at Thomann) or by soldering a power supply cable.

UTILIZATION

Setup could not be more simple, if not the knobs that are not linear at all, except the tone or ca spends about. But once we found the sound you want, it does not touch anything.

SOUND QUALITY

So let's be honest: yes there is breath, yes it eats the signal slightly ... but my kids ... THIS SOUND !!!!

The potato monster, dynamics, I never saw that. It wad a big fat power chord of "the", and we have the same silly grin a kid who finally got his dream gift at Christmas.

There is even talk over his hot, it's downright hot. Low to break down a wall, with the treble still very present and audible. Without even changing the setting (for my part, gain at noon and at 2 tone) of a rhythmic lumberjack passes to sustain a solo gilmourien of goofy. With this monster, a basic strat crushes a guitar equipped with double balls without much problem.

OVERALL OPINION

I use this gem last ten years. The size and the power supply posed a problem for me when designing my pedalboard. So I bought a little big muf, it is really c *** compared to the russian: no definition in the sound, just an unusable sound flat and boiled for supercharged (but it does well for solos). Then there recently had big muf nano, cheap therefore re-attempt: it's better but there is still scope for a bit on the treble, less low.

Finally, the "classic" American version sounds great, but catastrophic dimensions and despite the sound of the russian I prefer; I find it a less compressed hair, slightly more airy and better defined.

So I can not do without it and it is quite what I want; must be aware that by against is a particular sound and that it is not the most versatile fuzz / distos. But for the Black Keys, Kills, White Stripes, Smashing (cherub rock: rhhhooooo, I can type my intro 50 consecutive times just for fun) or solos to Pink Floyd or Santana, is a real gem !
