Published on 11/23/14 at 05:41Stereo output, very solid case more conventional, 2 knobs, an activation diode, no true bypass. Any analogue, 9V battery power charger or Boss type.
UTILIZATION
Two knobs for awesome sound:
- A speed changing the period of modulation
- A width modifying the amplitude of the modulation
Change, even late, settings really audible. The mix of the two functions can quickly find the desired sound.
You have to press the footswitch to turn the effect and the lighting of the diode is not very bright (damage).
Bypass, the presence of the pedal is felt, follower of full transparency go your way, personally I found this nice grain.
SOUND QUALITY
The sound is very distinctive and full of character. I find it very deep sound, enabling you are transported into another world, warm tones stand out so it may be interesting to put portards close to the minimum for these sounds even without modulation. Two knobs, it's simple, it is not trying to spend three hours nitpicking, especially as the knobs are effective and sufficient.
The chorus does not eat the dynamics of the sound, against I do not like to associate with another modulation, it's messy.
Frankly open to full tones depending on the rest of the chain, we might as well attack a "Come As You Are" by Nirvana a "Pull me under" Dream Theater, a blues or "Sanatarium" by Metallica. Of the more "modern" sounds, I do not use chorus, so I have no real opinion.
OVERALL OPINION
Pedal used for more than a year, the sounds are preferably typed.
Compared to a TC Corona or MXR Analog Chorus (or multi-effects), I find this chorus personally very "alive", very warm, I do not denigrate other chorus that may have any other use or perfectly complete it (not simultaneously). Try it.
