«  A perfect copy of the Deep Blue »

Published on 04/26/13 at 01:43
Housing type hammond aluminum, very solid. 3PDT footswitch, same circuit and the Mad Professor Deep Blue Delay components.
It is therefore a delay kind PT2399 that can feed 8 to 15v with a blue LED, 3 knobs and repeating the signal slightly altering to mimic the grain of old tape echoes. The delay time ranges from 25 to 600ms.

UTILIZATION

Simple to use.

SOUND QUALITY

My favorite delays are not the PT2399, but those based on the Bucket Brigade, as the deluxe memory man, DM2, the Maxon ad900 etc. ...
That being said, I needed a replacement delay having sold my Maxon. The Deep Blue Delay (or Blue Ocean is the same) still sounds awfully good. I do not get tired!

OVERALL OPINION

Good build quality, no worries to predict that it is "made in China".
This is an exact clone of the Deep Blue delay, sounding just as good for much, much cheaper. At that point I'll take a second.
Really this is an amazing surprise as good a delay at this price!
I can only advise, it would be foolish to miss. And apparently other brand pedals are just as fun (they have a clone of the Timmy and the BB preamp).
We can now consider getting a pedalboard dream, "boutique" type, real cheap with Chinese pedals are finally starting to be made with better quality components.
