Analog technology.

UTILIZATION

Very easy to use. No sweat.

Very responsive controls. It's surprising considering the price.

No user's manual, you'll have to download it from Behringer's website. Considering you only need the user's manual to replace the battery a printed manual is not necessary: it saves paper!

SOUND QUALITY

Good sound but the quality can't be compared with a Boss Metalzone or Metalcore.

I use it with an Epiphone G400 Vintage Worn Brown and an Ibanez TBX15R amp. With the adequate settings I get a typical heavy metal sound and I can't recognize my guitar.

The thing I like the most about this pedal is the great 4-band EQ.

I don't dislike anything about my Ultra Metal.

OVERALL OPINION

I've been using it for about two days. I've found several good settings.

Like I said before, the EQ is what I like most.

I don't like the plastic housing (although it seems to be sturdy enough). I had a problem with the footswitch, which stayed always on and produced an awful sound. I decided to open the housing and I lost the spring. When I reassembled the pedal without the spring it still worked!!!

Before buying it, I tested several Boss pedals like the Metalzone but it was too expensive for me.

Excellent value for money in spite of the footswitch problem I mentioned above.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again because it's pretty good as a first distortion pedal.
