Korg called the developer of the legendary Univibe chorus/vibe effect to recreate the pedal and unveiled at Musikmesse the Nuvibe.
The Nuvibe is the recreation of the Univibe effect that was used by Jimmy Hendrix, among others. The Nuvibe comprises a control box and an expression pedal. The control box uses no more than 79 transistors and a special circuit emulates the CdS photocell used in the original pedal. The developer of the Univibe also designed a buffer circuit and a true bypass is present as well.
You’ll find on the Nuvibe ten WAV sliders to create your own waveforms for the LFO, as well as volume, intensity and speed controls. The second footswitch on this control box will help you change effects. Note that the Nuvibe can be powered with 6 AA batteries or a 9V DC supply.
