With the Clyde McCoy Cry Baby that Dunlop will launch this month, the manufacturer pays hommage to the very first wah wah pedal.
The Clyde McCoy Cry Baby reproduces the original sound of the first wah wah pedal in a robust yet classic design. This was made possible when Dunlop got the equipments and tools that were used for the first Clyde McCoy pedals from Thomas Organ Company and Jen Electronica.
Dunlop also used the Halo inductor that gave the artist’s original wah wah its sonic character, but in a custom version modified to avoid the noise issues caused by the original inductor.
The Clyde McCoy Cry Baby will be available for the MSRP of $285 (US street price should be $199).
