Radial Engineering introduces a new StageBug that allows for muting one side of your headphones when recording.
Many times, recording musicians move one earpad from their ear to listen to what they are playing or singing, and if the headphones are not isolated enough, the sound coming from them can bleed into the microphone.
Radial Engineering designed the StageBug SB-7 EarMuff headphone interface to fix this issue by muting one side of the headphones to prevent the bleeding.
The StageBug SB-7 EarMuff, that will be introduced at NAMM Show 2014, is equipped with both 1/4” and 1/8” connectors so that any type of headphones and earbuds can be used and a Mono Sum switch allows for blending the right/left signals to mono so that the artist can listen to all the instruments, no matter where they are placed in the mix. The headphone volume can be adjusted with a dedicated knob and the Left Ear Off will mute one side of the headphones.
Radial adds that the StageBug DB-7 EarMuff is completely passive, so no external power supply is required.
The interface should be available this month with an expected US street price of $99. The StageBug SB-7 is manufactured in Canada and has a 3-year warranty.
