So far I have mostly used small walkman headphones Philips type JVC HA-NC120 (TB for taking his video filming) ... and excellent monitoring headphones Audio-Technica ATH-M40FS audiophile use . The ANC9 is too expensive for my taste in nine (one is in very good headphones pro) but in his field (canceling mode) is one of the best (with Sennheiser) while remaining very musical in Hi-fi ! on the other hand it is clearly not for the monitoring ...
At the price I got it in secondhand I repeat again.
Use for listening to portable music.
Very comfortable with leather ear memory foam shape. Maintaining the ideal hoop for me (although loosely held). A tad heavy and bulky for portable use but without excess.
Construction inspires confidence, except the hoop plastic: prudence ...
Comes with carrying case, 2 detachable cables 1.20 m (special 1 with pseudo-remote smartphone but without volume control) and airplane adapter: right!
Level audio listening is very nice: warm and never tiring.
The curve is obviously not at all linear: bass down low but a bit too present and rather vague. The medium is therefore slightly behind but still very correct. The highs are "round" and never aggressive.
The stereo image sometimes seems to me pretty close but it's been several months since I did not use headphones, so inevitably compared to listening on my Triangle Zays which are excellent speakers almost monitors ... it changes !
The noise level is more than enough for me.
Most of the ATH-ANC9 course its noise reduction system (with 3 presets). Tested only on my computer at the moment: the sound of ventilos tower is completely eliminated! It seems very effective at low frequencies.
I will test through the mower or trimmer to hear
An important point to note: The headset can operate without batteries (AAA) or the system noise off: yes, but in this case the sound is completely changed, suffocated ... Awful! "It sounds like from the outside of a box" dixit my daughter.
Regarding the repisse I can not say ... moderate?
