Sennheiser HD 500

Audiofanzine FR's review

I've been using these headphones for seven years.
They are my first headphones. I bought them because they are Sennheiser! Don't expect them to be Beyerdynamic. They don't have a very analytic sound but can be found in many studios because they sound very musical and cover a wide frequency range.

I have never regretted having bought them: nice looking product, pleasant to use, but some things disappointed me:
- I already replaced the cable three times because of a bad contact in the proprietary jack. On the other hand, I must say that I didn't treat them very carefully...
- The sound is musical but tiring in the long run. I find them too "closed." Especially because I use them loud and the leather gets really warm.
- After seven years of use, the leather became so warm that it seemed like it would melt. Perhaps because my hair was wet sometimes... It's not good for leather.
- Good quality transducers but it seems one of them doesn't work properly anymore. I would like more reliability...

I don't think I would buy them again. I would save more money and buy a premium product like the HD600 or a STAX.
In this price price range, I recommend the product but with velvet ear cups to avoid heating problems.

I use it for a little over a year and a bass player as it allows me to hear very low frequencies and it is not drunk like other over time. It is made for soft sounds and sound reproduction is envious especially in the low end and mdiums because it is true that the treble is quite invisible and it's not for me dplaire. The music today is based according to the mastering of two unique curves without tural mdiums with this headphone, there is a. The fact that it is worse reputable enchants me, it sounds big to fail without it fits in the mix and homestudistes skinny will get their groove and I chemin.Ici this N'H siterais not do me reprocurer dplaise purists neutral sound without me.

I use the headphones of the brand for many years, a HD370 (IR) gives me satisfaction, but the Entire HD-500 is terribly dcevant. No acute, high in the rsonnance mdium, one would cost in a box of food. The sound is like blurring, Stereo is zero. In addition, the Contents of the ear cushion is dsagrable. For the price, ZrO.

I dont gard the HD500 Fusion as 3 days! before returning the sender
Monstrous bass, treble pathetic, it sounds like a headphone Seinnheiser 30 cest horribly mean CHEAP.
The sound is muffled, sorely lacking in precision. The best mix becomes a slurry infme. Try dcouter the beautiful strings of Sampletank the HD500, you lose all hope of srieusement work with this type of hardware.
A roof for when AKG 100 headphones offer the same price range a K141. In view of lincontestable matrise Seinnheiser, which I do not doubt one second, the question that arises here is in one sentence:
But who sadresse the HD500 FUSION? Actually I havent nen any ide.
But as mapparat clear that bte nai not even to satisfy the homestudiostes find that here dception
