I bought the Bose AM5 first version in 1995. In my small room it was really incredible and in my first show as a young adult. After I switched to more audiophile and we must recognize that the Bose speakers are more spectacular qu'audiophiles: nevertheless, they have incredible qualities including: A monstrous fish, made a flattering, especially ... a life insane. My box eventually give up the ghost because objects that my children have seen fit to introduce it. But my satellite, now coupled with a subwoofer Jamo, are always spotless and sonorisent my home studio and my Mac for years.
In hard-fi, combined with good electronics, I would recommend instead of conventional speakers. For me, the ProAc column associated with an amp Euphya, killing one.
