Value For Money : Poor
A single series, American, all were the small logo Ric "USA". Very good finish even though I had some minor problems, overall it is very beautiful and holds up longer.

Two microphones far away, giving the possibility to have very different sounds by changing the position (3 positions).

The handle is big enough, more than a Fender, but not a log as the Gibsons. It is very enjoyable to play. The handle is painted. 21 frets, easy access to acute.

Two outputs: one standard and one special that connects the guitar to two amps (stereo).

UTILIZATION

So handle very nice (I personally struggle with the sleeves with thin as too fat, this one is fine). That said, it may take a little getting used to when we got used to playing on Fender and Gibson (the fact that Ric is smaller), but you get done quickly.

The guitar is well balanced, not too heavy, nothing to say on this side.

Sometimes we take a little hand in the change of micro knobs, but no more than the Fender. But it is also an advantage, compared to Gibson when the knob is up, it is more accessible Ric on whether to change quickly.

SOUNDS

The Ric 620 is very versatile. On micro serious, we get a very warm his Les Paul type, perfect for jazz, arpeggios, melodies in clean etc.. The bass is very powerful, rhythmic play a major micro, you'll feel like a bass!
Microcomputer was a sharp snapping sound very, Telecaster type, perfect for large blues (to CCR or George Thorogood).
In middle position you can do everything, rock etc..

Short of its clear you can have anything you want, slamming sound very, very powerful, great for blues or funk rhythm, the sound very warm and soft pop, jazz ...
It lends itself very well to the saturation, we can play rock as hard rock.

The Beatles had a model very similar to Ric, needless to say it's a pleasure to play Get Back On!

OVERALL OPINION

The first thing she is thrown, an aesthetic point of view, with the handle polished, chrome, the huge R at the end of strings, the plate raised at the knobs, the head of the handle feature of Ric as the metal bar on the strings. Personally I have on C that is to say wood color, very beautiful, I preferred that to the painted blue!

Then his versatility that allows you to play all styles, use it for rhythm, solos, arpeggios, melodies and so on.

Obviously, the guitar is not given. It is quite expensive because it is often necessary to import from the USA. At the same time it makes it a good investment, its rarity in Europe is that it can be easily resold to people who do not want to wait and order it.

____ ____ 2008 So this is more than a year that I have a Rickenbacker, a year since this praise and I do not withdraw. I like it as always. I simply states that in relation to a stratum, the Ric takes effort adjustments a little more important, it's not the kind of plug and play scratch. At the same time it is all the advantage which allows for many different sounds. Since I have completely abandoned my other guitars. Aesthetics as always cling.

When I took the Ric, I was hesitant with a Les Paul (I already and always a Start). Finally I am very happy with my choice, first because Ric can have a sound very similar, because then LesPaul are expensive. There is not really such a difference to justify the price difference. The Ric has a price / quality ratio much better than Gibson (it's almost the flight).
