Mutable Instruments may not been manufacturing all the parts of their Shruti synth, but Laurentide SynthWorks decided to revive the instrument.
Just like TubeOhm in Europe with its Phoenix, Laurentide SynthWorks has reached an agreement with Mutable Instruments to build again some parts of their DIY synths with a rebranding. The first module released is Shruti, Ambika will follow.
Called Monosynth Formerly Know As Shruti, the Laurentide SynthWorks edition is identical to the original Shruti parts, the brand only replaced the Mutable Instruments name by theirs. The DIY concept is also respected and you can purchase the different elements separately:
- Control PCB: $15
- 4PM Filter PCB: $15
- Pre-programmed chips: $15
- Set of four 220p Polypropylene capacitors: $1
- Dark Grey Translucent case: $29
