Gorgeous guitar!

Gibson 1959 Les Paul Standard VOSPublished on 11/29/11 at 15:14
The Gibson Les Paul guitar is a nice warm guitar that fits in pretty much any style music to throw in. It has a nice fat chunky neck and a great sustain that makes it very pleasing to anyone he uses a overdriven pedal into an amplifier or just an all-out overdriven tube amplifier. When you combine it to humbucker pickups that are in these guitars with a nice thick weight and mahogany wood coupled with a nice heavy duty high gain amplifier you can get a great sound for hard rock and metal and pop music.

SOUNDS

I love the tone of these guitars because they have a great sustain and chugging ability when you palm mute the strings. It has a nice feel and overall a nice wait for hard rock and metal sounds. Usually these guitars are featured in many of the pop rock and metal scenes but they're able to clean up somewhat decently but not nearly as bad as good as a Fender guitar can clean up. They generally don't use a Gibson Les Paul guitars and a clean setting because the weight and tone of it doesn't really get at sparkling clean chiming tone. But when you get some good overdriven sounds with this guitar you're to be in musical heaven.

OVERALL OPINION

You can find a Gibson Les Paul guitar in pretty much any retailer online and just about every guitar shop in the world. The one of most easily recognize guitars and many of today's new modern boutique guitar builders have used to Gibson Les Paul body shape as a reference point with her own designs. I love the sound of these guitars because are great for recording and digging and they're certainly a players guitar. You can be abuse them and that still stay true and right to you day after day of playing.

SOUNDS

These guitars sound fantastic in any setting imaginable. The fire burst is nice but not anywhere near the price they are asking for this instrument. This guitar has a '59 spec rounded neck to this is going to be a pretty fat neck. The neck used at the time were pretty round compared to the 60's necks. Some people will like that and others will not. This guitar has a great feel overall and just very easy playability. I really like the amp with a high gain amp of some kind. If that be a Marshall or a Mesa Boogie or even a Bogner amp these guitars just shine.

OVERALL OPINION

These guitars are pretty expensive and at new price they go for well over $5000 so this is not a beginner guitar and for most people this is well out of the the budget. I guess this is for pros and enthusiasts. Overall it is a very cool instrument and one that has been regarded as one of the very best years for any guitar made.

UTILIZATION

These guitars are very easy to set up as far as dialing in a big tone with it. You have two humbucker pickups each also with two volume controls and two tone control knobs. Also a pick up selector to select between each of the tube humbucker pickups. The neck on his guitars are pretty chunky thick neck and the body is made out of mahogany wood as well as the neck. On top you have a rose wood fretboard which balances out the tones of the guitar very nicely.

SOUNDS

These guitars match very well with high gain amplifier setting and especially in marshal amplifier of some sort. I really like the tone of this at the fire with these guitars primarily because it gives a good chunky thick hard rock tone. My favorite amplifier with this guitars probably at Marshall JCM 800 amplifier. Couple that with a nice delay or chorus pedal and you got some good rocking hard rock tones.

OVERALL OPINION

I recommend anyone to own a Gibson Les Paul at some point in their guitar playing career. It's extremely versatile guitar and a fun guitar to write music with. These guitars can vary from guitar guitar on the weight and feel love it so I suggest trying one out before buying.

SOUNDS

These guitars will fit in any amplifier sound that you have. Try using a clean amplifier or a overdriven high gain amplifier even a moderate gain amplifier this guitar will sound trading any setting that you ask. It has a great feel for rhythm or soloing and you can use an assortment of effects or overdrive or distortion pedals to really dial-in the perfect tone to match your amplifier. This is the kind guitar that you only wish you could have we first started out playing guitar. If you're lucky enough to own a guitar like this when you first started out in your pretty lucky person. This is it an elite type of guitar for someone he's a professional or someone is spent enough time playing who knows exactly what they're looking for.

I pretty much like these guitars primarily in a hard rock tone setting. The music that I generally play into me nothing sounds better than this guitar and a marshall style amplifier. The connection that you get with this guitar and a martial voicing amplifier is just a perfect match to my years. It has a great balance and great chemistry with those amplifiers. Don't get me wrong these guitars will sound good and pretty much any setting that you have. They sound great with Sandra amplifiers just as well. But to my ears nothing sounds better than a high gain amplifier and primarily a Marshall amplifier with these guitars.

OVERALL OPINION

I highly recommend this guitar to anyone wanting to step up into the area of great tonal territories. These are great guitars for hard rock all the way down to indie rock and contract country music. You can find them pretty easily on the classifieds or use markets. There's a lot of these guitars out there so I suggest playing one before you buy. They are expensive so the used market is the way I would go.
