Gibson 1957 Les Paul Custom 2 Pickup VOSPublished on 12/31/11 at 10:21
The Gibson Les Paul guitar has to be one of my absolute favorite instruments and all of existence. These guitars are so versatile and give you great tone for pretty much any style of music. They have a nice soulful tone that is extremely warm and inviting to play. Many of the sounds of you get out of Les Paul I going to be thick and warm primarily because of the mahogany wood that is used throughout the axe. Where you don't see that featured is in the goal top instruments that to me sound a little bit more girthy and thick.

SOUNDS

These guitars have a great thick warm tone that sounds fantastic in pretty much any style of music you can imagine. They have such a very warm and open sound that pretty much gives the user a great starting tone. Everything starts really from the fingertips and the pick but your next line of tone comes from your guitar. If you don't have a great guitar then you're really not can have the best option to get a great tone. When you start with a guitar like a Gibson Les Paul Custom you can create a tone that can be very resident and warm sounding. This guitars sound very thick , articulate and dynamic as well. Overall they are great sounding instruments and when you couple them with a nice high gain amplifier you're really got to find out what these guitars are all about.

OVERALL OPINION

I highly recommend guitars to anyone looking for that perfect tone as can be extremely versatile and sound good and whatever music you're playing. They can be found very easily in most retailers around the world and pretty much every online is it shop you can find. I would recommend getting one used in trying it out first because you can allow that initial person to buy the guitar and take the hit on the new price. So if you can get in there with the use price point , you're going to find yourself in a much better financial position. Plus Gibby Les Pauls can feel different from one another so I highly suggest trying one first before purchasing.

Gibson 1957 Les Paul Custom 2 Pickup VOSPublished on 07/21/11 at 18:57
The Les Paul Custom has gone through a tone of changes throughout the years. The one I'll be focusing on in this review will be the one currently available on the market today. It features all of the same specs that people know and love from a Les Paul -- a mahogany body with a maple top, a set mahogany neck, 22 frets, binding, two humbuckers, a hard tail TOM bridge, two volume knobs, two tone knobs, two humbuckers and a three way switch. However, the absolute biggest change would happen to be the ebony fretboard. That's mainly the feature that makes this guitar a "Custom"

The Les Paul Custom has gone through a tone of changes throughout the years. The one I'll be focusing on in this review will be the one currently available on the market today. However, the absolute biggest change would happen to be the ebony fretboard. That's mainly the feature that makes this guitar a "Custom"

UTILIZATION

The Gibson Les Paul Custom is an amazing guitar that sounds absolutely huge. The neck profiles vary depending on what year you buy, and the one I played had a fairly thick neck. Some people will dislike this, but it was never a huge deal to me. I seem to be able to adapt from super thin necks like the Wizards to extremely thick Nocaster necks without much of a problem. The flatter radius on this was wonderful, and it allowed me to lower the action lower than a normal Strat would allow. The tuners on this model aren't as bad as the older Standard model, but I'd still replace them with locking tuners.

SOUNDS

The Custom really excels in sound. Normally, Gibson Les Pauls are very thick sounding. This works great for most styles of music, but sometimes it lacks a tad bit of clarity for genres such as metal, especially once you start tuning lower. The ebony fretboard on this guitar helps add some sizzle and bite that allows the guitar to cut through the mix without sounding thin. I'm not a fan of the pickups, so I always replace both those and the pots. This really opens up the guitar and makes it not only more aggressive but more versatile as well.

OVERALL OPINION

If you're searching for a Les Paul Custom, be sure to try a bunch out in your local music store. The quality control on Gibson guitars can be really iffy. The biggest things to look for would be tuning stability and fretwork. Pay particular attention to fretwork as that's what can really make or break a guitar. If you're looking for a metal guitar, it's really hard to beat this thing. Just be careful of the weight.

US-made at the Gibson Custom Shop. Solid Body, 22 frets, electronic gold finish, 2 volumes, 2 tones, a split three positions. Sold with Case Gibson Custom Shop. Available left-handed version. Bigsby Tailpiece or Stopbar. set neck. Burstbucker microphones. perfect finish.

UTILIZATION

Then it gets serious. This is the Gibson. I have long hesitated, I did not know if I preferred the Standard or Custom. This one I have not yet ... Access to acute is average, like all Les Paul, it is heavy, but may be you're like me and prefer the guitars hanging. As soon as one branch, one is amazed, it sounds, it's a little less incisive than the Standard. This handle is a marvel!

SOUNDS

This guitar is a beast racing to rock n 'roll, punk, crossover, garage and other alternative rock. Connect one of Orange, a Vox or an old JMP is that happiness! On recent amps it provides a beast. But attnetion is a very guitar rock in my opinion ... If you do not like the sound of muffled gibson, go your way!

OVERALL OPINION

I hope to soon acquire, the price is prohibitive, but the luxury is paying dearly ..
My favorite is his inimitable style, wild, exemplary finish, sound, weight ... Fan I bought a standard, because they can offer me this one. I am fully satisfied, but I'm still eager to offer me the Custom.
If I had to make another choice, maybe I'd wait to have enough wheat to provide it to me!
