«  A good versatile keyboard »

Published on 05/18/11 at 11:40
I was looking for both a master keyboard and a keyboard that can play sounds without pc / expander. The audio interface has been a plus in my decision-making (compatible 64bit which was not the case with my old FCA202)

UTILIZATION

I am not a pianist but I had the opportunity to play on several types of keyboard. Without a touchdown this piano keyboard is not very soft. It is quite pleasant to use.
Regarding the actual use of the keyboard (to access functions etc. ..) is pretty average. A small screen would have really been a plus for when selecting a parameter we are a little lost. Nothing is marked on the keyboard. For example, to mute the keypad (sound hard keyboard) when using a vst or another on the output of ProKeys, press the Edit button then the # 3. not very convenient sometimes. Compressing all the functions on the keyboard can certainly save space.

However, the manual is pretty clear but it is nice to have quick access to this (eg pdf)

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for one month and I have not really tried other models in this range.
What I like most is its versatility and having a MIDI controller and a keyboard at the same time independently.
ASIO is an integrated interface allows to work correctly and quickly.
The instrument input is not high end but it certainly helps out well. I think that trio with singer + guitar, the keyboard can also be very nice.

I think I will ever be that choice, especially for the great price value, purchased as a bundle with home thomman foot pedal for 310 €
