«  To easily adapt its XV a wind controller »

Published on 03/03/14 at 10:18
I acquired this bank patches there a few months ago after spending some time trying to adapt himself to patch my WX5.
You should know that expanders are overwhelmingly designed to be played from a keyboard and do not take into account the breath (Breath Control CC # 2) to modulate the sound (brightness, volume, ...)
Given the time I had already spent and poor results, I could not resist buying these sounds all the facts. Matt Traum has been recognized for years as a specialist in creating patch for MIDI instruments (including Turbo VL chip for the Yamaha VL70-m) and the 128 + patches 64 performance is the result of his experience wind.

I have not been disappointed with the result. The problems I encountered with the use of integrated patches are erased and I get a lot more expressive playing, less dependent of the attack.
And I intend to use it as a basis for my own patches, now that I see anything that can be implemented to take account of breath.

What I appreciate the most is of course the ready-to-be-used: one load, it works.
What I appreciate a little less, it is the presence a little too much breath (Breath Noise) on certain wood or reverberation a little push, but that can be corrected easily. The manual is very brief (four pages all inclusive, two-thirds for the names of patches and performance without comment), but the product is intended for experienced users.

Ultimately, I do not regret my choice.
