Purchased to connect a MIDI keyboard to a PC CASIOCZ5000 (config: Win7pro64; i5 CPU, 4GB RAM).
I sought a simple interface that, in principle, save me the puzzles with windows.

USE

I usually connect my keyboard to a Hammond emulator; RAS.
With PRODIPE and like another opinion, the LEDs (supposed to report an input or output data I guess) do not blink. Windows detects the (sound to the connection) and the LED "main" double light intensity at the connection.

My opinion? How to say ... Why I have not come on AudioFanzine BEFORE?
I regret having bought it and I will never do it again PRODIPE.Tenez a purchase it for you said! ; P

ps: in 2011 I will find that manufacturers criss music forums (the biggest at least!) to learn about their image and even have the courage to respond (to the wise ...).

I need a midi interface to connect my PC to my microKorg to use the software editor, transfer patches and play with a master keyboard.

Finally, it is with my MC 303 that I use the most, it allows me to sequence it from the PC, the controler with my master keyboard (oxygen 49 3rd, so no 'real' decision noon) c ' is also amazing all the potential it gives him, but this is another story!

PC: Windows 7 32-bit (cursed be the stability of win8 and win7 64bit (being computer I know what I'm talking about, but it is not the subject))

DAW: Ableton Live 8.2.2

UTILIZATION

No need to install drivers, it is recognized by Ableton live, my mK my groovebox, and other virtual expanders.

The only downside that I have come across is in the sequencing of the groovebox when I synchronize with the PC, but I do not think this is related to the midi interface (if I find a walkthrough, I éditerais this advice to confirm / deny this last point)

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for about a month. It is a good value for money for me, I do not regret my choice!

I saw some reviews that the interface is faulty but that is not my case, it makes it correctly why it was designed.

PS: The software provides virtual prodipe expendeur with, however it is very unstable (possible configuration file, seriously I got 'gratis' with the interface, but I know they sell it next) sounds good though, but as I said calamitous configuration!

I was looking for an additional MIDI interface for my shiny new Prophet 08, then hop towards the internet for a simple and uneventful.

I say "Well a USB MIDI Interface is a good idea," like that we will plug right on the phone (a Siemens Amilo) and there will be an additional interface in Cubase Essential 4 ...

UTILIZATION

I bought for just under 30 euros this little product advertised as having no driver and plug 'n play.

I already have a Digital Audio and another M Audio, which work fine but with both drivers. Super, it will be even easier!

OVERALL OPINION

Neni that it works at all and browse the forums, the problem looks quite common among prodipe, including keyboards with their masters or other USB interfaces USB: Windows recognizes, we will then in Cubase (but ditto on ProTools and Acid, I checked) and, surprise (and tremor), voting preferred sequencer can not see it at all, completely ignores. So you call the paid support (open weekdays in the afternoon, in short, when you work) that tells you to look at their site and do what is stated in the forum (re-install, force the pc to power the USB ports etc.).. 5 or 10 euros later, as it does not work, you are told "we'll have to bin it back to us (at your expense of course, we'll see if it works with us). With any luck, it will work in them, I spent 30 euros for an interface, over 10 or 15 euros telephone support and shipping a product that I will return and will not work with me ... then you doubt my advice friends musicians? Prudence, as he did not develop a product that works and developed a driver that allows their devices to function, as with other brands what ... unless you prefer to spend 45 euros for a product that will not work.

Purchased today and tested for several hours.

1) with the iPad

4.2.1 works with the ios in IN and OUT

2) under winXP

automatically detected and installed. Works with Ableton Live and Cubase LE 4

3) on Mac Leopard

automatically detected and installed. Works with Ableton Live (I n that uses this software mac)

Short works perfectly.

I had to leave a review saw the number of negative opinions ... I'm not necessarily for the brand, but in this case, it works!

I needed a simple interface to connect to my old Yamaha PSR-230 synth recently recovered from the cellar, to be able to toy with my GarageBand projects (ie use it as master keyboard).

I had gone to buy me an E-MU 1x1 which I had seen good reviews, they have not in store, so I'm left with the Prodipe which has exactly the same characteristics:
- 1 MIDI input
- 1 MIDI output
- 1 USB port

... And that's it! No drivers needed for Mac, on paper, plug and play for a small price compared to Firewire soundcards MIDI & Co.

So in terms of features, it is absolutely necessary, neither more nor less. I

not usually give an opinion on a product I just bought, just to take a step back, but in the case of Prodipe who wants "no driver" "plug and play" easy to use "etc. .. it seems legitimate to me to share my experience on the spot, I revise my decision in the future if needed.

OVERALL OPINION

No drivers to install, no software to download, no manual to read, no configuration to do in GarageBand = nothing wrong, it's perfect for me!

I recall that this review is for a master keyboard configuration + Macbook + GarageBand, I've tested with another OS or another program.

If you are in this case, no worries for you.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The MIDI files Prodipe the male should be considered as inputs and outputs of the interface, as if there was need MIDI cables to connect the keyboard interface. We must therefore CONNECT THE PIN MARKED "IN" THE "OUT OF THE KEYBOARD AND THE SPIT OUT" TO "IN" THE KEYBOARD. Otherwise it does not work!

I hope that the perpetrators of previous opinions have not made this mistake, in which case review would be distorted by misuse of the product. It is true that due to lack of info.

Luckily I came across a knowledgeable salespeople (like what ... there) who told me this feature, otherwise I think I made the mistake.
