Starr Labs introduces a new version of its AirPower wireless MIDI data transmission system.
The AirPower 2 allows wireless bidirectional MIDI communication between any MIDI device. The system comprises a transceiver, a receiver, an AC adapter and a Mini-USB cable. You can add the optional AirPak 1800 DC adapter with rechargeable 9V battery designed to power you MIDI device.
The AirPower transceiver operates on the 2.4GHz bandwidth and will work in a range of 300 feet (100 meters approximately) on a selection of 16 channels. You can even use multiple AirPower on a same stage without any interference.
The AirPower 2 includes a Note-Off recovering features should any momentary dropout occur during transmission.
The receiver features MIDI and USB connectors for Mac/PC communication, note that both connections can be used simultaneously.
The AirPower 2 retails for $299, add $149 for the AirPak 1800 adapter. More information available at www.starrlabs.com.
