LTD B-105

This is my first bass guitar, and it was given to me as a Christmas present last year. Two years before, I made the decision between playing guitar, or bass and after a year of learning guitar, began longing for a bass. It cost £379.

My hands are not terribly big, (though not much smaller than most boys) so I one of my worries about buying a 5-string was that the neck and frets would be too big, but this was never a problem. The colour (see through black) is rather unusual because has a different colour to it in different lights, which is attractive.
The tone is great, and can be adjusted by the knobs on the bass. The pickups are nice and big, which I find easier to play with, and I notice the difference when I play my friends' Fender!


The only problem I have with this bass is that the battery in the input had to be replaced, which of course was not expensive and was easy to do, but other than that I have no complaints.

The bass is quite light weight, but is very sturdy. It doesn't scratch easy, and I;m sure that it would take alot to damage this bass.
The quality of it was perfect, the strings, everything.

This bass was one of my 'dream' basses, and I had wanted for a long time, and I wasn't disappointed with it. I would definately reccomend this to anyone; a beginner like me, or a more advanced bassist.

I had been looking to purchase a bass guitar for awhile. I was inspired by some of my favorite heavy metal and funk bassists...meaning, I needed something with versatility...and I wanted it to be a 5-string. I started looking around local stores, and when I saw this model, I knew it was what I wanted. I had to drive some extra distance to a store that had it, but it was worth it. At the time, I did not have as much knowledge about bass guitars as I do now, but after playing my friend's Squier Affinity P-bass and my other friend's Ibanez GSR200(both suggested beginner's models) I knew I had done the right thing to pay the extra $70 for this ESP. It cost me around $280.

I have played this bass for over a year and a half now, it has endured practices 1-3 times a week and gigs at major clubs. The only problem I have had is I needed to replace the wires in my input(which is half my fault for trying to fix it myself) and that only cost $20 to get repaired. It is very endurable, which is definitely a good thing since I am not one of those people who obsesses over the proper care of my instruments all the time.

The bass itself never hums, buzzes, or makes any unwanted sound (unlike some of those other "beginner's" models.) It sounds good whether it is through a 20w practice amp, a 100w pa amp, or my Ampeg 350w head and 800w 4x10 cab half-stack. The strings are a good spacing apart, and in my experiences, just as easy to handle as any four string bass would be. The four knobs allow me to twiddle away the sound I want, which I enjoy because I love to play around with my sound from one song to the next. Usually there are not this many controls at this price range, but I love having them. If all you want is one same old sound, then this may not be the right bass for you, but I think it is better to have a series of unique tones.

There is not much for me to dislike. I have always been a little suspicious of ESP guitars, sometimes their sound is too clean for me and lacking the interesting tones other guitars have. Still, you will not find better quality and sound from a bass in this price range, under $300. I love my bass, and even after I upgrade to a more expensive model, this will stand by as my backup.

This bass has two passive humbucking pickups(which I think give it a better sound than just a split coil like the Squier Affinity, or the J/P configuration of the Ibanez GSR200). The bass has four knobs to adjust volume, pickup selection(bright and clear, soft and bassy, and gritty, loud sounds) and two knobs to adjust tone. This gives you the ability to change your sound through your bass immensely, and quickly, from one moment to the next. 24 frets for a full two-octave range on each string. Quality strings that I still play on. Bolt-on neck with 6 bolts for extra sturdiness.

If you're a beginning bassist, go for this model, especially if you want to learn the 5 string. This model would also make a great second bass for a more experienced bassist who wants a bass they can depend upon (without spending upwards of $500 on it). It has served me well, and gave me no problems that I didn't ask for. Everything still plays good, sounds good, and looks good after a year and a half of almost constant moving, bumping, and driving around.

i had gotton this guitar from www.music123.com for $279 witch is not a bad at all price at all for the quality of this bass.the people at music 123 are good at service,i had called to track my order and they did as fast as they could,i didnt have too call back or anything,so i would suggest them to everyone

i likeeverything about this bass.i really dig the color(see-tru black)witch really looks great.the pickups on this thing sound very nice,the neck is very fast. very good for metal or any outher kind of music you could play or think about.

there is nothing at all i dont like about this bass.after reading countless reviews about this bass i settled on this and it is everything i wanted,but i had allso played a ibanez five string at a local shop that was the same price as this esp and i played the esp too and the esp won by a land slide.

the construction and quality is amazeing for this low priced bass,since it is low priced youd thing it would be pute together cheap or something but its not.i had though about ibanez because there suposed to be quality but i disagree,when i looked at the neck one of the inlayes where not put in right and the nut was already coming off! yes im shur ibanez is a very good brand its just the model you get i supose. Now the esp on the outher hand has nothing wrong with it everything looks like its done right.

i looked around and read alot of reviews about the esp b-105 and its everything i have read and even better.if you have done the same,looking to spend little money on a good QUALITY bass i suggest you buy this bass,but thats all my own opinon,and every ones is difrent.

I found this like all the rest of my treasures on eBay. I was looking for a second bass and wanted to try ESP for the longest time. I got it used for a cool $300

I love everything. The pickups are passive yet scream more than any other bass I've played yet. It looks mean, high gloss piano black edged body. The tone is what I had been looking for in a bass but had never found until now. Playability is A+

Nothing(I do wish ESP would make a 6 string bass like the B-105)

Maple body, 6 bolt deep set neck, jumbo frets(24), 35Hz pickups, passive volume/pickup selectors, bass trebble control.

I have owned and played many guitars and by far my favorite would be this ESP. I will buy ESP exclusivly in the future.
