[NAMM] PreSonus announces Capture v2.0

Designed specifically for live recording, Capture is bundled with all PreSonus StudioLive series digital recording and performance mixers and is preconfigured for instant use.

Capture 2.0 features a new Start page that lets you instantly create new sessions and access previous sessions. Capture’s overall design has been updated with a darker color scheme for improved visibility in difficult lighting conditions. A new Big Meter mode turns your computer monitor into a gigantic meter bridge that is clearly visible from a long distance.

• One-click recording with Record Now button
• Records at up to 32-bit, 96 kHz (for the new StudioLive 32.4.2AI mixer)
• Prerecord captures audio up to a minute before you press Record
• Auto-Save at user-definable intervals
• Automatic session and file recovery if the power fails
• Sessions store metadata, enabling automatic session naming
• Soundcheck mode makes it simple to virtually soundcheck using previously recorded material
• Session Lock feature prevents accidental keyboard access
• Stereo Playback mode—use Capture with any computer soundcard
