L6S made in United States (like all gibson)
Mine is black (custom)
Originally it was two Bill Lawrence Humbucker.
On an (d in I 2) I put a Seymour D. SH13 and it is a wonder. I give in C and is more severe and nasty and my ESP Les Paul met.
The body is fine even if it is not the first gules a class is not so bad. In addition, the sound that comes out is ungrateful to forget his face.
It was originally endorser Carlos Santana who was the scratch but it is part of PRS in 1974 years of creation of this monster.
The bridge is the same as a Les Paul and mechanical range (one with Grover, the other gibson)
The selector switch has six positions (phase / out of phase, split, etc. ..) is not very convenient because head-shaped chicken (chicken head), as a knob fender amp.
It is mohagany and rosewood for the fretboard.

UTILIZATION

The neck is thin and very pleasant.
The finishes are mortal, mine were 32 years (they're all MADE in 1974 and 1976) and except for some pets the lutris (neck always right) and electronics do not sizzle.
She has a great balance and must weigh less than 3 pounds.
The sounds range from blues (type fender tele if we keep the original microphone) to the villain and the most serious possible (a requirement to change the microphone).
Originally the L6S should get the same sound that Les Paul, Start, Tele (thanks to the 6 position switch), but I have a Start, a Tele and a Les Paul and it does not sound the same. The sounds are original and very different, it's nice but not as sweet Gibson moilleux and a tele.

SOUNDS

To make Metal is the most angry (she is 34!)
I play with one that has a Seymour Duncan SH13 on VHT head 100W all-tube through a TC Electronic G system on a Mesa Boogie 4x12 cabinet.
Setting clear we always get something clean, soft and warm (gibson).

I do not sound too out of phase, but the one I prefer is in saturates, it is much discussion on the bass and treble on incicive.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 5 years.
I like everything, even her face so she gives pleasure.
I have a dozen Gibson Les Paul I love and I love the Tele (2 guitars completely different and wonderful) but none gives me much pleasure to play metal.
For blues I resume my Tele or my Les Paul.
I paid $ 900 in New York (misery) and the second $ 600 on ebay, since they are worth between 1000 and 1300 U.S. dollars.
I do it again the same choice. Moreover, if I track other achettent I (the black custom not natural any ugly).
