«  Guitar brand in its atypical »

Published on 01/28/14 at 05:38
The mid-body les paul, mid-SG (for horns) is hollow which means empty and feels the guitar on his shoulder.

The electronics are brand classic:
- 3-position selector microphones
- 3-position selector tone - the particularity of gretsch
- 1 volume knob micro
- 1 volume knob General

UTILIZATION

Channel 23 round boxes and comfortable without reaching the thickness Gibson with ebony fingerboard inlays half moon on the edge of the hoop. Also here the exchange of traditional dots other brands.
The handle of 43.5 mm with light radius and medium frets is very comfortable in the standard major brands
When access to the bottom of the handle, the double notch being very pronounced, there is no problèmes.Il are just a balance problem on this guitar, picnic round nose but this problem can be resolved by changing the position of tether strap button to reposition the heel of the neck

SOUNDS

I play Rock group directory 70 'therefore looking for a vintage sound and there is great here because Filter'Tron are there to ensure compliance with its own brand and its origins.
The guitar is a solid body dug so we end up with a hybrid sound result with limited sustain.

The interest is on the combination of micro and tones with clear sound unusual that goes without acute acid via the "twang" sound muffled Jazz. In fact 9 combinations are aggregated with 2 switches. Forget his Strat or Gibson, it's Gretsch and it's good!

For crunch and various saturations, there must be taken to choose the pedal to meet the sound of the guitar and keep the nuances of different combinations knowing that they will be much less readable in the clear. On knowing that the more we will saturate more shades just disappear, not surprising.

OVERALL OPINION

I'm not a fan of the current rock "alternative - continuous" so the Young signing did not influence my choice. I wanted something other than a Les Paul or a Strat with a budget that would allow me to choose one or the other of the two models mentioned.
What made me crack is fabulous clear sound and then the original form. Moreover mine is red lacquered splendor.
In crunch is powerful and precise (but depends pedals used) for saturations, I do not comment because I do not use it but the pickups and almost full body shall ensure without problems.
