«  The best Ibanez ... »

Published on 04/21/13 at 02:07
So (I'm an AF update my gear), it is one of the first Ibanez PGM 100 that were produced. Mine in 1989 (I have a certificate of authenticity). It is a pure, hard!
This is a Floyd Tremolo Edge (one of the first)
The type of handle, it is hose-like highway Ibanez (Wizard first generation). 24 jumbo frets type. HSH pickup configuration. With two Paf Pro in at Di Marzio Humbucker (neck and bridge so) and a Di Marzio FS1 in middle.
Level settings, there is a volume knob and a 5-way PET!

UTILIZATION

The handle, well yes, it is nice. It's the Ibanez so very smooth and flat. It goes fast. It is a medium weight guitar (neither too heavy nor too light). Access to treble is excellent, there is a cut to the hand come "is built" at the bottom of the inning when the freight is tickles end of the shaft.
The sound is easy to obtain. The character of PAF PRO is well established. With the switch, you get a piece of cake stratoïde sound, and if you do mumuse with the volume you can even get a clicking sound very teleoïde (it says?). The rest is in your fingers kids!

SOUNDS

I play all styles of music. Blues, rock, heavy metal, shred, etc etc ...
All sounds are obtained we want, as stated above. The Paf are "Paf in your face" in distortion. It sounds very "Is not Talkin 'About Love" when you put the distortion to the max, but it's very nice. Shred neck pickup well as it should (it's a Paul Gilbert what!). The character of PAF PRO is well established. With the switch, you get a piece of cake stratoïde sound, and if you do mumuse with the volume you can even get a clicking sound very teleoïde (it says?). The rest is in your fingers kids!
I mainly branch in Marshall.
I love all its sounds!

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 6 months now.
I live in Japan and I did not bring my shovel with me, so I had to find myself a good guitar. I flashed directly above. I tried it and I did not want anything else. Everything is time. She suffered a bit, microphones tired a little, but that's its charm. I love all its features.
The price / quality ratio, well I did not complain. I want to add that I am pleasantly surprised by this guitar. I'm not a fan of Ibanez. On the contrary. I had heard of signing models (late 80's early 90's) as well and I'm told I had to take a look. Well I took. I'm a little collector at heart so I always look for the gem. Ibanez and this is one.
I remake that choice without hesitation. And who will read me. If you ever have the opportunity to taste this Ibanez. Take. Sincerely. The "Retro" quality Ibanez worth double of what is now. And I mean it ...
